CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 2.8 out of 5 by 24 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Cord breaks Have had two of these, and both times the cord to raise and lower the umbrella has snapped after less than two summers of use. The warranty had expired of course, and there is no way to remove the hand crank to fix it without damaging the pole. Sending it out for repair would be costly and would take months to get it back. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by useless Loved the umbrella when I first got it, but shortly after the small clips at the top fell out and I am no longer able to open it......useless June 7, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Umbrella this umbrella came with the patio furniture i purchased about two years ago. Well, last fall, i mistakenly left my umbrella open and there were some really strong winds that day. The wind was so strong that it cause my umbrella to bend at the pole and it snapped in half (!). I started looking about a month ago to replace it and found the same one here for a pretty decent price. Thanks May 5, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Top heavy Very easy to assemble out of box, and very attractive....however, the top of the umbrella, which includes the crank to put umbrella up and down, is way too heavy for the bottom piece. We had our umbrella about 3 months and, due to the sun/shade patterns on our deck, kept the umbrella up and tilted the last 3-4 wks. we had it. In the middle of the night (I witnessed what happened) a VERY LIGHT breeze bent the bottom piece to a 45 degree angle. Tried to replace the bottom piece but then just decided to return the umbrella, determining that the problem would most likely occur again. The bottom piece needs to be substantially stronger than it is to support the weight of the top of the umbrella when umbrella is up. If you put the umbrella down when not in use the bottom would most likely last longer, but can't be certain of that. IF the bottom piece were re-engineered for strength, we would purchase this product again. We did get what we felt was enough shade, tilt, and ease of use from the product. It is also aesthetically nice. July 22, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Be Careful !! Was a great umbrella until it got pretty windy one day when I was at work and came home to find it had blown over and the metal pole was sheered right in half. Recommend putting it down after every use. February 19, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Solana Bay 9ft patio umbrella The umbrella is very attractive but its cheap and not worh the money. We had problems with it from day one. We opened the umbrella 4 times and each time wobbled. During a windy day the umbrella broke in a 45 degree angle (it was closed). I called Martha Stewart customer sevice and they told me there was nothing they could do. Complete waste of money and time. I will never purchase Martha Stewart furniture. cheap!!! August 3, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Does not really give enough shade I just bought two umbrellas to go with the patio set. I was not too happy with the fact that the sun was still pretty bright under the shade. My old faded fabric one did a better job. It does look nice, matching the chairs but I wish it would be thicker material to keep the sun's rays out. July 11, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by delivered with a tiny dent in umbrella pole delivered with a tiny dent in the umbrella pole.. I was impatient and need an umbrella for sunny back yard party. ONE normal size wind and closed umbrella was done, bent and broke. I didn't save the box so you know how that goes. wasted money. September 11, 2012
