Customer Questions & Answers

can the width of doors be adjusted? rough opening is 59.5in and door states 30" ?

rough opening is 59.5in and door states 30" ?
Asked by: cat
My openings were 59 - 59.25. I removed the hinges and used my table saw to trim EACH side of each door for evenness then replaced the hinges and they fit perfectly.

Does the door need handles? If so, what is the best option.

Asked by: Monara
A knob should have been provided with the hardware pack. If it was not included, Home Depot should be able to provide for you.

Can the length be trimmed from the bottom of this door? If so, how much?

Asked by: TV
It has a 3.5" solid piece of wood on the top and bottom that could be trimmed by about 2.5", but the pin on the bottom would have to be replaced/reinstalled or if you did it to the top the two pins that ride in the track would have to be replaced/reinstalled. Of course the vertical edge pieces would also need to be trimmed and that is where the pins are located. This does not look as if it would be a mayor problem if you are handy, but in my experience things are always more difficult than they appear even though I am a good wood worker. There is some adjustment in the pins if you are only needing a half-an-inch or so.

30 in. x 80 in. Plantation Full Louver Painted Pine Interior Closet Bi-fold Door is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from The overall finish could be a lot smoother. The overall finish could be a lot smoother.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Plantation style doors Solid quality wood door. Paint quality is more like primer coat not final. I will spray final coats so not an issue for me. Instructions were fine. Pay attention to finished opening sizes listed in instructions - needed 80 3/4", mine was shorter so had to cut door bottom. Not abnormal just requires a circular saw, saw horses and a little higher DIY skill level.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Little Tricky I am happy with the way the doors look and installation was not all that difficult, however the instructions are really poor. None of the hardware pieces are labelled or referred to in the instructions with any clarity. You basically must have some walking around DIY IQ and mechanical skill to be able to get through it. I like the fact that they do not need painting, are light and easy to slide. Hopefully they will last a long while. I did expect more from the brand name and the price isn't exactly cheap. So, that's why I can only give them an average review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VERY GOOD QUALITY These doors are very good quality. They are solid, unlike so many bifold doors. We have used them in three different locations so far and have been satisfied in all uses!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay, not great I chose this for my teenager's bedroom closet because I wanted something that was already painted. However, the paint job is not good, it looks cheap, and the doors don't hang evenly with any amount of adjusting. For a bedroom that will most likely be re-done in a few years when she's off to college, it's fine, but for a master bedroom or hall closet or something a little more formal, I'd keep looking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Door failed in three years, poor quality We are replacing this door after only three years because the glued wood separated at several points, causing the door to drag on the floor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality - Poor Handling Doors were warped and the paint job appeared to be done by a three year old. Corner under protective packaging (not apparent at the time of purchase) was chipped, possibly due to poor in-transit or in-store handling. Returning the product and seeking another brand.
