Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DarrenG I just read some Reviews to make this decision to buy it.
Well since this is cheapest way to start, it also needs the most work done you create the 3 hinge marks in the door , next you have to drill the hole for the knob and the lock side whole, with the rectangular hole about 1/8" deep to install the lock cover plate in the door, next if you want a dead bolt another hole for the dead bolt and side hole for the bolt to come up of the door ,yes a lot of work, but it's worth that extra 7 dollars you save you can get all that work done except for the dead bolt for about 7 dollars more. Well I have to say the door with the work done & $7 dollars more one is missing the top/bottom and sides covers it's just open unpainted wood, where this cheaper one for $31.20 has all 6 sides of the door painted.I hope this door works out ok and guess 17 good reviews cant go wrong. By the way this door has the 6 panels molded into the door it's not flat.

I purchased two of these doors at my local Home Depot to replace two bedroom doors in my home. I am very happy with the quality. The door is a little to wide and tall for my bedroom door opening. I had to trim the width about 1/8 of an inch and trim the height about 1/4 of an inch. The height I had to trim due to carpeted floor. The width I don't know what to contribute that too. Maybe old construction, or a non-square door opening. I didn't have to cut for width, I just used my power sander to remove the material. I used a circular saw to cut the height and the material cut clean. No rips or splintering. Two door install from the time I removed the old doors, cut to size, chiseled the hinges, paint prep, paint, and dry took me 1 day. I would definitely buy one of these doors again.

This review is less about the door and more about Home Depot. No where in any of the reviews or in the product description does it note that the door is not fitted to put on the handle/lock. Home Depot does not offer this service in store, they do not rent out the necessary tools, and they don't offer installation. While the door may be cheap, the tools to fit it are not. It's also important to note that the door is NOT white, it's a weird ivory/off-white color so it will have to be painted as well.

The doors are primed and will always have to be painted (thats the 'off white color you describe). These don't have holes bored because they are also used for sliding closet doors. They can be bought with holes bored for handles but usually you will want to do this yourself as frame in different houses are different. Home Depot (and usually all hardware stores) sells a couple of different door kits with a chisel, hinge guide and hole saws. Also, they do offer installation starting at 89$/door

It's just a regular, interior SLAB door of above average quality. Take note: It's a SLAB door. That means you will have to cut it, drill for the lockset, mortise for the hinges, and paint it. It's not something you can just 'Pop In' and you're done. If you don't have the skills and tools, hire somebody that does and don't complain when you can't figure it out.

Um, were you expecting a door to be ready to install? lol Next time please not that it's a door SLAB. They don't come with hardware attached, or painted, because they do not know what your set up or interior paint color is. You buy the slab and customize it yourself.
This door is very inexpensive and looks great, ready to be primed for your own house interior.
