AFTER INSTALLING I DISCOVERED THAT THE DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE AFTER COMPLETTING THE LAST STEP OF SCREWING THE TOP THRESHOLD PLATE. DOOR BOUND UP ON THE PLATE DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE HINGES WERE INSTALLED 5/8THS OF AN INCH TO LOW. THE HINGE MOUNTING SCREWS WERE ALSO INSTALLED AT AN ANGLE. AND THE HEAD STUCK OUT OF THE HINGE. I WILL BE TAKING IT OUT TOMORROW AND RETURNING IT FOR A REFUND AND WILL SHOP AT A STORE THAT CARRY'S TOP QUALITY ONLY. LIKE A PRIVATELY OWNED DOOR SHOP, NOT A DEPOT OUTLET.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GoodDog I had good luck with this door
I see that other people have had problems with this door. Bought my first about 4 years ago and installed then. It was the perfect solution for what I needed, or I wouldn't have bought it.
Appearance - just like it appeared to be. If you think the appearance isn't excellent, choose another door.
Ease of installation - it can't be any easier than this door, unless you have never installed a door before.
Value - if it isn't an excellent value, don't buy it.
Quality - apparently there is a difference between what the factory is putting out today compared to 4 years ago. Perhaps I got lucky? Have three of these types of doors installed, one of them 4 years ago, the other two 3 years ago. They are all perfect to this day.
One thing I did that others may not have - removed the door and laid it out in a shop and painted it, then put polyurethane over the entire door slab. Live on the ocean, and that protects the door and paint. Also, if you live in a high humidity area it is worth sealing the top and bottom of the door so the core doesn't swell.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by LJT7 Love my new door
I love my new door as I wanted ventilation in my bathroom.
It is a snug fit and hots out the heat which is good as it faces the morning to afternoon sun.
I would recommend this door.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Preston This is a versatile product that does what it is designed to do
I bought three of these doors. One opens from the garage into the utility (laundry/water heater)room, one from kitchen into utility room and one from a covered patio into utility room. I can use the vent feature to provide fresh air ventilation as needed or close the vents as needed to provide air conditioning or heat. I am 68 and had not installed a door unit before. It was trial and error, but I installed all three alone and did a fairly good job. I am pleased with the result.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wayne Removing Screen Frame To Clean window or replace damaged screen
To wash the window (screen side) --
The Screen in fame IS REMOVABLE & screen Replaceable when damaged.
From the screen side press the screen toward the hinge edge.
When you see the opposite corners of the screen, reach around to the interior side and push outward on the screen frame. To replace -- insert one end of the frame into the screen slot & reverse the procedure.

Installed the door in the side of my garage.
The holes for the door locks were not drilled correctly. The hole from the door edge was misaligned with the hole in the door face for both locks. The latch holes in the door frame were also misaligned. I had already installed the door when I discovered this but I was able to correct it by filling and re drilling. This took a lot of time and effort and it is not perfect but will have to be close enough.
The seal on the bottom of the door was set too close to the door and the door could barely be opened. I had to permanently remove the top of the threshold plate to allow the door to open and close. I had to add another type of seal on the top of the bottom plate.
I ordered brick molding and the molding that came with it was not straight.
This door was not a standard size. I required a 7" door jamb. It was special ordered and it would have taken another 3 weeks to replace it. If not for that I would have returned this junk door.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Tootsie This product has one really bad feature.
My complaint is the fact that I cannot remove the screen to clean the outside glass behind the screen. I live in a condo on the 10th floor so it is impossible to use a hose to clean it as was suggested by the salespeople at Home Depot. Rain has spotted the glass so often and it is driving me crazy that I cannot clean it. I think it is really stupid to make a door that cannot be cleaned entirely.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bear oddly imperfect
This exterior garage door came with a window which was installed about 1/4 inch from square. It wasn't immediately noticeable, but it is visible when you stand ten to fifteen feet away---something just doesn't look quite right. Then you take out your tape and you understand why. But by that time my contractor had already finished the installation. What could I do?
