I have a 3 1/2 inch wall with the drywall. I need a 24 x 80 prehung 6 panel hollow core door.
Asked by: Edward
Apparently he has a normal house with 2 x 3 studs, that shouldn't be too hard to figure out.. they sell interior doors that fit on special order..

36 in. x 80 in. 6-Panel Left-Handed Hollow-Core Smooth Primed Composite Single Prehung Interior Door is rated 2.2 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty terrible I have put in a lot of doors before and these are the worst I've put in some pretty bad ones. The jambs are very thin, and warped, the hole that are pre bored are very rough like they needed to change the bits a long time ago. They put very few fasteners on the casing into the jamb and the reveils are very inconsistent. Also the jamb material is so thin it is almost impossible to nail into it. Besides those things these doors aren't bad.

Just a total nightmare - these are split jambs with the trim STAPLED to both sides. For starters you have to destroy the out of square trim getting it off in order to hang they use 1 1/2 staples on really brittle trim. All off the split jambs where nailed tight in an assortment of ways - further destruction of the unit. by the time you figure prepping the door and the ride to buy more trim and cutting it. Also I am noticing the keeper and doorknob doesn't look like it lines up - get out the chisel . I am going to have to spend a lot of time patching and calking things up. These doors will make u throw down your tools and quit for the day - Trust Me

Since these are made in a jig how can they even leave the factory so ill assembled - trim not attached completely or attached crooked. Wood so poor quality that the hinge screws are impossible to tighten. A TOTAL waste of money - don't walk away, RUN from these. Would be a -5 star if possible.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pre-hung Door The door looks nice, however the quality of material is very poor. I removed the hinges to paint the door, the screws stripped the holes when I put the hinges back on, with very little torque.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good door, but be prepared to re-work to get to work properly. The door is good, the jamb is OK, but the fit and finish is questionable. It appears the factory just nails up a jamb around a raw door slab. The door slab required planing down over 1/8" on the strike side to open and close once the jamb was hung. The strike side of the door is square rather than tapered. This adjustment left the pre-drilled lock set hole offset too close to the edge leaving a portion of the hole visible under the trim. The hinges required a bit of chisel work to sit flush to the jamb and door slab. If you have never hung a door before, and you plan to purchase one of these doors, a plane is ESSENTIAL or it won't work.

First the door looks like it had been dropped of a truck. The top casing was completely scratched on one side and the door is actually cracked. Some of the staples holding the casing had broken the casing and were exposed. Second, the top hinge is not recessed and therefore the reveal is off at the top by about an 1/8th inch. Its something that can be fixed, but I should not have to recess a hinge on a brand new door. The casing on both sides is not level. Also it seems that they do not take into account the inch of drywall, because the split jamb almost doesn't fit into each other, and there is no way to marry the two. Thankfully, this was installed in my house, and not a customers house. If it had been, I would have wasted a fair amount of time, installing a piece of garbage, that would have had to have been torn out and replaced with a Jeld-Wen. The problem is that some of these problems don't become evident until after you begin installing,(I couldn't initially figure out why the reveal was so off center with a square and level door). Unfortunately, the home depot I went to does not carry the Jeld-Wen doors any more. I will not be buying doors from home depot any more as a result of this experience.

Flimsy framing and prone to warping if not installed immediately. The price is attractive, but you get what you pay for. I bought 4 doors for a basement project and have not gotten one single door properly installed. The split jamb model is flimsy and breaks easily. Do not purchase unless you want to waste your time and money.
