Is there foam insulation, or any insulation, between the steel front and back of the door?

Is that why you don't have a fire rating?
Asked by: jaybee
Hello Jaybee, Yes, all Masonite exterior doors have a polyurethane foam core for insulation between the sheet facings.

..on the insulation of your doors.

I am looking to replace my front door. I am concerned about the current insulation in the doors today. My door was installed in 1986 and I understand that very good insulation was used at the time. How does the insulation rate today? Please reply. As I am anxious to update. Thank you, Ad.
