How do I get the "Low-E" sticker off? It's ridiculous. Sticker leaves behind adhesive that won't come off. I've tried Goo-gone and scrubbing with the scrubber side of sponge and with a scrub brush. I know I can't use a razor blade on Low-E windows. HELP! I did not buy French Doors to have big stickers right in the line of sight, and it's already installed so I'm not going to return it.
Asked by: Deren
I use a heat gun that gets hotter than a hair dryer. I haved use a hair dryer. With a hair dryer in the summer time when it is warm start heating the whole sticker consentrating on one side and wait untill you can pull up one corner. Heat the leading side of the sticker where it is comming loose, not to melt it, pulling it off as it come's loose. If there is any glue left on the window, I use Goo Gone. GOOD LUCK

Rough opening?

What is the suggested rough opening for these doors?
Asked by: BPM
The size of a 72"X80" door is 72X80 + 2 side jambs which means you will nee 74 or better 741/2" in R.O. width and to allow for your threshold, head jamb and some future settlement make your height 811/2 inches or more . You can fill any extra space with fiberglass or foam. I have been framing houses over 50 years and this has always worked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This door looks great. I think this one is probably as nice as any of the more expensive doors. I had to replace our oldd 5' french door and this one worked great. Me and another person tried to put it in ourselves but the opening was not square. I am not the best at handy work.I paid a guy $75 to square it up and screw it in place. You will need to buy the handles and trim separate for this door. Overall, for the door, a few supplies, curtains, and hiring the handyman, it cost me about $600 to replace my old door. The door opens easily now and looks great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I installed a set 10 years ago. They are fine, I put them in a new addition, and as I recall I just framed to the size of the doors; no problem. They've held up fine, particularly in light of the cost. My only complaint is that my dog broke one of the windows; and it will cost $170 to replace one replacement glass unit in my $350 doors. Oh well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these doors♥ Love these doors, much sturdier than I expected and very pretty. I put them in my kitchen leading out to the patio and it has changed the entire flow of the house, the light comes into my kitchen and it's just gorgeous.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is not what it says it is. Do not be fooled by the description of these doors. I am a general contractor, and bought these for a customer. When getting ready to install them, I measured the individual doors themselves, and to my surprise, they were NOT 36" wide each, they were 34.5" wide. What??? The width of the jamb from outside to outside was 71.5" wide, and 79.5" tall from bottom of threshold to top of jamb stock. These are not replacement doors for a typical RO door opening. These are ONLY for replacement of sliding glass doors. Do not buy for new construction, or replacement of existing french doors. Quality and price were good, but size was WRONG!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing door and deal just had to ignore and search! Long Sunday looking for doors, walked into local HD and was told none in stock, just sliders, kept walking to door section. Found 3 good ones behind a trashed display. 399 plus tax sale price. Amazing 72 x 80 Steel, painted, Low-E dual pane, good insulation, good frame, good materials, 5 year total warranty, limited lifetime warranty! 5 Star Sunday!!! Dan in Orange, Ca.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doors 2"-3" shorter than 72" Had to order doors twice due to the actual doors being 68 1/2" X 80". Sent the second set back for the same reason and cancelled reorder. Additionally, the trim around the 10-lite was green like the door. The picture is deceiving, as it shows white trim.
