Customer Questions & Answers

How much air does it allow into a space. Is this vent paintable

Asked by: Edavis456
This product has 43 sq. inches of net free area (NFA). I can be painted with a "plastic application" paint like, Plastic Kote from Krylon. Please call Technical Services at 800-211-9612, M-f 8A-5P EDT, with any additional questions.

What direction should I have the vents facing

I'm installing this vent in my shed to take heat out. When installing, should I have the vents facing up or down. I would assuming to vent out you would have it facing up but then you introduce the fact that now rain can get in.
Asked by: Chris
Hi Chris, You are correct, the vent should face down to prevent rain from entering. Mike

Is it flush mount

Asked by: Dale
It's made for new construction. The vent will mount to the existing plywood and you will install the siding around it. So the answer is no it is not a flush mount. Hope this helps. Mike

Fit right over the old one and did not need to disassemble/frame. I used corrosion resistant deck screws on the four corners to hold it on the existing frame. Seems to be holding up well - no revisits and asthetically acceptable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Get what you pay for It is cheap...and made that way. The edges on the overhang are really long making it impossible for me to use. If it did work the material is so flimsy that any drop would most likely break it. I paid shipping which I won't get back and won't waste my time to take it back for 7 bucks. Do yourself a favor...spend some money and get it right the first time!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks good and was a good fit. Could not find an exact replacement for the old vent. The is new construction so this unit covered the existing opening. For a plastic vent I think the price was a bid high.
