I'd like to cut this down to insert into an old easel so my 3 y.o. daughter can use it for magnetic letters. Would this be easy to do myself? The sturdiest cutting tool I have would be kitchen shears that can cut meat. Are the edges safe after cutting? Thanks!

Answer:
you can cut with offset aviation snips and I would bend over all edges because no matter what you cut this with edges are still sharp and easy to cut yourself ,in the trade and we wear gloves to cut and handle the stuff we use...

Answer:
You would not be able able to cut through this product cleanly with a pair of kitchen sheers. It is an easy product to cut, considering you have a pair of tin snips which cost around $12. The edges and corners of this product can be extremely sharp. I would recommend mounting it on a wall, and placing a border around the outside edge, making it safe and giving it a clean look.

Answer:
Thank you for contacting MasterFlow ... Anytime sheet metal is cut, there is a sharp metal edge left remaining. I would not recommend this item for this purpose unless all edges and corners have filed smooth and covered with a protective barrier. Please contact our Technical Services Group at 800-211-9612 , M-F 8A-5P EDT, with any additional questions.

I have a frame to make a project out of, and since this can be cut with tin cutters, I was wondering if a simple staple gun could attach this metal to the frame? or what could I use to attach? Thank you!

Answer:
This is 30 gauge steel and most staple will not penetrate sheet metal. A drill and sheet metal screws may be more effective. Please call Technical Services with any additional questions. M-F 8A-5P EDT.

It might work. Not for sure. But the medal is very thin, and at $10 a sheet it's worth trying. Good Luck!

Thank you for contacting MasterFlow ... There are several methods for cutting galvanized steel. A jig saw or circular saw, but each MUST be equipped with a metal cutting blade. Be sure to observe all safety procedures when cutting metals. Please contact our Technical Services Group, M-F 8A-5P EDT for assistance with any additional questions.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by These sheets have worked very well thus far. They were used as a heat shield in back of some heating pipes. To date, these sheets have served their purpose very well. They were easy to work with and make a nice background for the heating pipes. July 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Needed for code and heat disapation After have AC inspected, individual looked a flue (NG furnace) and told me pipe was too close to combustible surface (never knew) and that I needed something to act as a barrier. I did some research, steel was the way to go for heat protection. This was 100% flat since it was packed in a flat cardboard box, lucky I did some research and knew the aisle and bin, the packaging thru me off. Worked out great and always want to be code. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EASY BACK SPLASH This Galvanized Sheet worked perfectly and matches my stainless steel appliances. Easy to install, easy to cut. Looks just like stainless steel to protect the wall behind my stainless steel stove. Easy to clean with just a wipe or two. It is an inexpensive solution compared to installing tiles or other products for a back splash wall protector. May 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect! Lightweight and perfect for the project! I used this to make a magnetic calendar/home organizer. Found a black frame the same size and this sheet fit right in. Looks great, it was super easy and I have gotten several compliments on it. April 26, 2016
