For me the picture was misleading, the unit is held onto the projecting flue pipe by 4 long bolts that screw in from each of the four corners, biting into the flue pipe. They are highly visable from the ground and give it a poor look even from two stories below. Also there were four mesh pieces welded to top, only three were actually welded.. Attaching by a single band around the whole thing would give a much nicer look..

Top rusted off the mesh and blew away.
Didn't make it 3 years, now I got to get up on the roof again.

The cap will work on my chimney but I didn't feel secure with the way it attached to the flue.
I installed a piece of safety chain to the cap incase it came off in high wind conditions. I'll just keep and eye on it. It was made from good materials and looked good when in place. It will do the job.

The manufacturer need to change attachment method. The sheet metal holding the screw lets it deflect from 90 degrees when tightening on corner of chimney. Also even using a cement drill to give a spot for the screw tip on the corner of the flue tile doesn't hold either.
The metal does give way in time also, the last one lasted about 5 years.
