Home Depot had other locks similar to the Master but after researching about these types of lock found the others had no "anti bump key" feature and cost more. Google it to learn more.
The install was easy and the lock has worked flawlessly since. Having a house with some teens and twenty somethings that may or may not lock the door this has been a great purchase not to mention I don't have to worry about leaving the door unlocked or carrying a key for early morning runs or having to fumble for keys when carrying things.

My house has 5 exterior doors with dead bolts, all with different Keys. It was always inconvenient to find the right key for the doors so I had them all rekeyed for convenience. This solved one problem but left us uncomfortable should we or our children not have a key so I decided to install a keypad lock to one door so that no matter what we would always have easy entry. All of the keypad locks that I looked at were either too big, cost too much, hard to install or were just unattractive. I found the Master keyless lock to be the best value and the most attractive lock on the market. It took less than 20 minutes to install. I also liked the fact that I could enter multiple codes into the lock so that each member of the family could use their own favorite combination to open the door without having to memorize someone elses less meaningful combination. The designers of this lock did their homework and delivered an esthetically pleasing easy to use and install keyless lock.

Installation was simple enough, hardest part was getting out of packaging! Programming new admin and entry codes is easy as well. No major issues so far. I love having no key to carry and ability to give people their own code I can delete if need be. The removable plate to access batteries doesn't snap on as tight as I'd like; it has fallen off once or twice when door was slammed. And inside lever seems like it could be tighter. It works fine but I wonder if I'm going to have to keep tightening it over the years assuming I don't lose the tiny Allen wrench necessary to do so. One logistical issue to be aware of is the lock is thicker than a standard deadbolt and thus if using on a main entrance it may interfere with the handle of the storm door if you have one.

Wanted to add to my original review due to a minor problem we have with the lock. The lock itself still works great the one issue we have discovered is that the storm door handle hit's the knob that's twisted after entering the code. We had to switch the inside handle to a vertical position instead of the usual horizontal handle position. Clears the knob but may be an annoyance to some. Just something to be aware of if you have a storm door too.

I wanted a key pad because my kids keep losing the keys. This one the electronics only work some of the time. I just had to break into my house by crawling through a very small window and I'm really unhappy now. I replaced the batteries yesterday. When I got home tonight the keypad was glowing a soft green but it would not light up brightly like it's supposed to. I've had it for a while and we don't use the front door that often. It's been malfunctioning for a while but I thought the batteries had just died. It goes in the garbage tomorrow and I'm getting a new lock.

Wanted a simple brass electronic lock to allow pet sitter in. That way I can remove the combo afterwards. I didn't want to be handing out my keys to strangers which anyone can make a copy of. The lock works as advertised. The only con is if you have storm door, the inside handle from the storm door will most likely bump in to electronic lock. The lock juts out far enough to bump into mine. I had seen someone else report that in previous review but that person worked around it. I did the same. That was the reason for 3 stars. I wrapped some foam wrap around door handle so it doesn't ding the lock as much.

Do not purchase this if you live in a very cold region. it opens without any numbers being imputed.
According to sources I received from a lock supply house the grease that is used to lubricate this lock makes it not rotate and thus allowing anyone to rotate the dial and open the lock. I have four of these locks in south Dakota and they all fail in very cold weather (less that 15 degrees

I took my locksmith a while to come up to speed on the technology, but now that it is installed and functioning properly, it is very convenient.
