Answer:
Would suggest one per 3 feet. Roll comes with ten stakes (one per 4feet) so you should order extra stake pack (20 per pack) total needed would be 27. The more you use the easier to get a better shape..

Terrace Board Stakes in Black (20-Pack) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid and Strong The stakes appear to be very strong and solid. I'm will make my final judgement after seeing what the cold winter temperatures will do to the stakes and clips at the top. The stakes were strong enough to drive into the ground with a hammer, and stronger than I expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for many kinds of edging We previously purchased plastic edging that came with way too few stakes, especially for hard or difficult soil like we had. These stakes were sturdy enough to pound in easily with a mallet and clipped nicely onto the edging, even where two pieces overlapped. Our edging is now straight and held nicely into the ground.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Terrace Board Stakes I purchased these plastic stakes to hold a long length of fiberglass terrace board in place around a mulch bed. The stakes match the color of the terrace board, thus do not detract from it's appearance. They are made from a high impact plastic and can really take a pounding. A nice thick tab fits snugly over the terrace board disallowing movement and slippage. The only drawback is that the stakes tend to bow somewhat when being driven into highly compacted earth.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple and Easy Great Product. Just unpack and stake. Make sure that there is no solid rock as they will bend and tilt when staked. Used rubber mallet, and worked perfectly fine, a solid metal hammer might damage the end of the stake. They work perfectly with the borders they were designed to hold. I cannot tell about the endurance and longevity right now only installed about 2 weeks.
