Customer Questions & Answers

bought the white door and when I picked up door looks offwhite to light almond

already returned this door because color which says white on website is not even close. It looks beige to almond next to a true white... Is there a true or brite white in this door, I love how this door is constructed....thank you
Asked by: joe
Paint will change the color to any white you want. How many shades of white exist? An infinite number. If you are going to pay $500+ for a door, what the big deal in buying a $20 quart of paint and painting it?

Been installed for a couple of months, still slides well, keeps rain, insects and drafts out. Door installation was some work, mainly due to the framing of my house and some rot repair. Two person job to get the door to the site and maneuver it into place. The lock mechanism is a little wonky at first, even after adjustment but is working well most of the time. The manufacturer would do well to not screw packaging screws through to mess up the exterior weather stripping grooves. Overall am pleased with it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Someone said it; you get what you pay for. First off, the door opens and closes just fine. However, in order to get the door to latch/lock the catch needed to be shimmed out with washers. Now when the door is closed, it barely makes it past the weather strip. Guess we will see how it works in the winter time. 2nd, and speaking of weather stripping, this constantly comes out require a screw driver to push it back in. This last for a day or two then has to be done again. See attached pictures. I would steer away from this door and would not have bought it knowing what I know now. Oh, the warranty, read carefully. You need to send a letter with said issues. Also, this was installed by a reputable window/door company.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from SMOOTH The door installed without too much difficulty but you will need at least two people to move and set the door because it is very heavy. The flanges supplied for new construction were very flimsy and would not stay anchored so I installed as a slide in replacement. The door is about 1.25 inches shorter than the older slider I removed, so there was a need to fir out the head jamb and replace the interior trim. I used a wider interior trim and brick mould for outside, so I would not need to deal with drywall or try to find a match for the 18 year old siding. All in all this was a fairly straight forward installation with a bit more finish work than I expected but that is remodeling. Total time 7 hours including new trim and finish work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review change I have to change my review to 5 stars. After my last review on August 31st I was contacted by the manufacture and a rep was at my house on September 5. He repaired and adjusted everything and it all looks good. Unfortunately, there's not much room for error when installing these, or any other sliding glass door. This should have probably been addressed in the rough stage of installation. Not the manufactures fault. So based on the excellent customer service I would definitely but this door.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect size for a small, older home. Was a job to install, but door is of nice quality and the final result looks great. Like the dual locking feature and while it took a little effort, I was able to get the key lock aligned and functioning well. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the door.
