I have had this smoker for almost a year and it has produced only great smoked foods. I have only used it with propane but it says that it can be used as a charcoal smoker too, one of these days I’ll try it that way. I just did a smoked prime rib last week and it was fabulous. I live in PA so during the winters I wondered if it was losing heat, I got some fiberglass rope door gasket material and it has helped. Having the two doors is great so when adding water, I don’t cool off the cooking chamber. My wood was burning up too fast in the provided pan; it has openings that allow the flames to reach the wood. So I bought 10” cast iron pan from W-Mart and use it on the shelf above the original pan, this keeps the wood smoking a long time and all I have to do is occasionally add water. Overall for the money, this is a great little rig. I built a rectangular wood frame and topped it with plywood, slapped on some wheels and secured it to the platform. I can roll it out of the garage with a tank of propane next to it, and it's all secured. I highly recommend this product.

Easy to assemble. I had a small problem. I could not keep tempter under 300 the first time I used it. I emailed Master built and they responded quickly saying the burner/regulator should be replaced. They sent one no charge and no hassle. It took about 15 minuets to replace and it now works great. My only negative is that wood chips catch fire quickly. I fixed the problem by replacing the wood chip tray wit an old cast iron skillet.

This smoker works really well in the beginning but the internal metal parts do not hold up at all. We use it maybe once a week during warmer months (about 35-40 times). The outside components hold up well, we have had it for 2 years but the water pan, charcoal tray and entire bottom including the burner mount deteriorated and rusted out during the first year, Masterbuilt replaced the water pan and charcoal tray because we could prove it was within the first year of purchase but didn't last 6 months after that. The water never sits in the water pan, it always evaporates but for some reason holes form quickly in it. Within the 2 year mark the entire bottom of the smoker rusted out.
It works well in the beginning but I think the water pan issues start a chain reaction with everything else, we keep it covered when its not being used and have built a small roof over it now but I am not sure if we will buy the same one again.

I recently purchased this smoker for my brother who lives in another state. I was having a difficult time ordering it on line as I am not very computer savvy. I ended up calling the store by his house and was helped by Lori at store #4032 customer service. She was the most helpful and friendliest person that I have dealt with on such purchases. If not for her I probably would have gotten frustrated and stopped trying to make the purchase. So this review is more to recognize Lori and her awesome help. I have no review on the smoker as for its with my brother but I hope it works as well as my
similar smoker. Thanks again Lori!!!!!!!!!

This smoker is a great value! Very easy to assemble and easy to use. On first use, made pork roast smoked to perfection! Would recommend to beginning and experienced smokers.

I like the compact size of this smoker, I can lift it and move it inside and outside my garage easily. Two doors is great so you can add water to the pan or chips to the tray without losing smoke and heat from the main compartment. The only negatives are... smoke leaks from the door and the water pan is so small that you have to refill at least once during a session.

Assembly was straightforward, took about 20 minutes. Followed the curing directions which make the grates easier to clean. Have used it twice and it works well.
Filling the water tray lasts about 5 hrs, so if cooking longer need to add more water. For an extra smoky flavor can also add more wood chips at this point or just the water if you don't want the flavor to be too strong.

Bought it online April 1. Came about two weeks later with a bent door that needed replacing. Month and a half later still no door. Called today and they said it was still being reviewed before they send a new door. Taking it back to store.
