I have struggled with this so called 'smoker' for over a year. Don't rely on their thermometer, mine failed and I ruined more meat than this "smoker" cost before I realized what the problem was. Google reviews for this product and you will find numerous complaints regarding this 'smokers' inability to produce smoke which I think you will agree is an important feature of a smoker. Right now my masterbuilt Pro is 'cooking' it's (last) brisket when what I really wanted was a smoked brisket. Check the internet for more reviews before you waste your money on this piece of junk.

We've used the smoker 4 times now since we bought it. It is very simple to use and does not require much, if any effort to maintain it. The water and the chips seem to last a long time.

Chose over smaller model. First job: smoked a boston butt a small pork loin and two chicken breasts. They turn out great.
After initial seasoning, just put meat in, set temp and go relax.

Easy to use. Only thing is I find it hard to get enough smoke when cooking at lower temps 225/250. I added another chip box that I put directly on the element. Very happy with this purchase.

I just finished setting it all up and I'm going to smoke some food in it and I already see some drawbacks that I don't like. First without some type of internal temperature gauge you have to let out all your heat so you can check your food with your cooking to make sure it's at the right temperature. Otherwise fairly easy to set up and get going we just need to make sure you have these other things first. Get a stainless steel temperature gauge that you can leave inside and not let all the heat out, it would be nice if the door had some type of seal. My last smoker that I had had all these features seal internal temperature probe digital but I couldn't find one anymore so I'll use this when I guess
