Product Overview

Designed for accuracy and remote readings, this digital Maverick cooking thermometer untethers you from the oven or the grill. You can even lie down in the hammock knowing the unit will signal you when food reaches pre-programmed settings. In addition to gauging internal temperature, the thermometer tests degree of doneness, tracks cooking time with a 24-hour timer, and can be programmed for six different categories of meat. When your roast or turkey reaches ideal levels, the receiver beeps and flashes its alert.

  • In action, the transmitter shows the current temperature, while the receiver shows meat category, doneness level, set and current temperatures, and cooking time
  • Each of the digital units includes an integrated stand, and the receiver also sports a clip for your belt or apron
  • The kit requires four AAA batteries total
  • choose your own target “Set” temperature up to 410 degrees Fahrenheit (210 degree Celsius), and in your choice of F or C
  • Actual internal Food temperature
  • Elapsed cooking timer (alternates digits with “meat” by pressing the MODE button)
  • The probe is stainless steel, with flexible braid stainless steel sheathed connecting wire, 40 in. overall length
  • The signal is sent on 433.92 MhZ

I found that you had to keep the transmitter shut off, turn on the receiver, wait for the flashing bars where the temp should show and then turn on the transmitter.

Customer Reviews

RediChek Remote Single Probe is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would not BBQ without it! This is by far one of the better remote thermometers out there. I've tried quite a few and none within this price range have come close to the quality and accuracy as the RediCheck. The stainless steel probe and cable make a big difference. I've tried the ones with the silicone cable and they are no match to this one. And the customer service from the vendor has always been great when needed. I've tested the accuracy of the temperature against others and this has always been on spot +/- a degree maybe where others were off by as much as 10 degrees or more. You won't be dissapointed. The only drawback is that to turn off the digital thermometer (the receiving device) you have to remove the batteries. There is not an off/on switch. There is an off/on switch on the remote device though. One suggestion, order the extended replacement probe/cable.The one that it comes with is adequate but if you want to use it when smoking food the extended cable just makes it easier to keep the remote away from any hot areas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job Have used this product for years and it worked well in the oven. BBQ and Smoker. A nice addition for any kitchen. I don't even use a timer. Just set the temp and it will be done to perfection.
