Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Moves a lot of air The Max Air 30 in. fan is a commercial grade, three speed air moving machine. All metal construction, with a large base, adjustable height column and a tilting head makes it a good choice for large rooms. It is also a relatively heavy fan, so I don't plan to move it very often. Just pick a good location in my workshop and let it circulate the air. February 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Blast Of Fresh Air The fan was easy to assemble and the instructions were clear. Parts of the housing were bent a little but this could have happened in the shipping process. The fan has three speeds and even on the highest speed is relatively quiet. It is very sturdy and seems to be durable. It will really come in handy this summer! February 24, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Giant, powerful fan This is a very large fan with a heavy duty motor. The large motor powers the fan quietly through three speeds and, particularly at higher speeds, moves a lot of air. The fan is made with sturdy materials and should last a very long time. The manufacturer includes a link to an assembly video. I didn't look at the video, but followed the written assembly instructions. I noted that only lock washers are specified for mounting the shaft to the base, but standard washers (included with the kit) actually should be used against the flange on the shaft base, followed by the lock washers and the bolts. I had to remove each mounting bolt to add the regular washer; a minor inconvenience. Be careful to test fit the two protective screen halves before assembling them to the fan unit. Watch for proper orientation of the back portion mounted to the motor unit. Next, add the fan, then add the front half of the protective screen. With proper installation, the label on the center of the outer screen will be right-side up. I found pliers were helpful in securing some of the clamps that affix the two halves together. I had to squeeze the two halves together while pressing the clamp over them. Finally, there is a tiny screw that locks the two halves of the fan screens together along the bottom edge. I had a little trouble lining the holes up to insert the screw. I used a small screw driver through both holes, tweaking the two halves to align the holes sufficiently to accept the screw. Overall, a nice product. March 2, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not quite perfect but close Well… not the easiest piece of equipment I've ever assembled. Its heavy and the large pieces are awkward to align. This would have gone much faster with a helper. At some point my shipping box was opened and re-taped prior to my delivery but nothing was missing The instructions weren't a lot of help, the diagrams are small and not very detailed. They do supply a URL address for an assembly video but I equate that to asking for driving directions, not something a manly-man does. You'll need a couple of metric wrenches or adjustable wrenches and a Phillips screwdriver. Everything went together easily until it was time to install the front fan guard. The mounting clips are soft and were bent out of shape. A pair of needle nose pliers straightened everything out and the pliers were also needed to squeeze the front and back halves together while snapping the clamps. Once assembled the three-speed motor ran like a charm. The height of the fan is adjustable and the head pans up, down, left and right. I plan on using this in my shop so I'm ready for summer. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Floor Fan Floor fan was shipped from manufacturer. Product had been previously opened and poorly repacked. Pieces were broken inside Needed fan for a certain date. Took time to receive product. Unpacked product repacked (again) returned to Home Depot Store. A lot of work with no resolution, except "you can go online and order another" Thank you very much October 7, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by so far so good Its winter so I haven't used this much but it feels solid and has plenty of power, it's well built and has 3 speeds-something I didn't notice in the ad. So far I am very happy with the purchase. November 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This fan is awesome, keeps the shop cool and blows out all of the smoke and dust Well I wasn't going to go with this fan but I received a discount offer through the email and so I ended up taking advantage of the offer and am very pleased with the product. It has a great stand and wall mount option, which I'm using both, for different jobs I preform in the shop. Thank you for helping me with my decision and for the great product. November 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good value Front fan shield / shroud was not assembled very well. Wires were not spaced evenly before they were welded and were bent out of shape. I re-bent them to straighten them out. Fan motor and blades work very well and the construction, otherwise is very heavy duty. Overall, I'm pleased with it's function so far. October 1, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent fan for the money The 30" pedestal fan is working perfectly for what we need - it was a great value and if we ever need another one we will look no further than the Home Depot! Thanks October 8, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to carry Would love it if it had an option for wheels to move it around. October 15, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by This product was very affordable Unit was cheaply made.I had to drill out the collar so it would tighten up. October 1, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by The fan is OK but should blow more The fans blades are too flimsy to be able to blow serious air. October 1, 2013
