Float Control

Does this unit have a float control valve for continuous water supply? I've seen units like this that require the operator to manually fill the reservoir after depletion. I'd prefer to hook it up to a supply (Garden hose or 1/4" supply line) and a timer to operate.
Asked by: JW
Hello JW, This unit is flexible and can use the built-in 10 gallon water reservoir or can be set up with a direct water line. It also contains a maintenance-free float valve.

I have a patio with a sliding door and 2 windows would it be possible for this unit to cool 1800sf and 2 stories?

I am not very technically savvy and wonder if this unit could cool my 18,000sf, 2 story townhome. If it could, I wonder how I could install this? It would need to be on my patio and bring outside air in either from one of the windows, or sliding glass door, but leaving the door open would be a problem, as would the space left open on the tall windows. I wonder if (with HOA approval) it might it be possible to cut a hole in the outside wall from the patio and vent it into the townhome and also connect to the outside water supply?
Asked by: Coolers
This particular unit has an effective spot cooling range of around 2,600 sq ft, so you most likely would only experience a cooling effect within that range. To help keep your house cool overall, look into whole house fans, or perhaps attic ventilation methods, such as a power attic ventilator. For spot cooling, pedestal fans and portable air circulators would be the way to go.
