Very easy to install. I was disappointed it didn't include the mounting bracket for the mailbox and an oversized mailbox doesn't fit well. I bought a bronze colored mailbox and the entire setup is just as appealing as more expensive ones I have seen in other catalogues

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lizzy Nice looking post
This is a very nice looking mail post and was not too difficult to assemble. Additional hardware was used to stabilize the "arm." Arm is hollow & wiggles easily so extra screws were used to stabilize.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JGuy Great inexpensive mailbox post
I was skeptical of this product at first, mainly because it's plastic. I feel the plastic will be maintenance free for many years to come. For the look, can't beat the price. Install was super easy: Use a 4x4 treated post, concrete base of post into ground, leave 48" of post sticking up above ground, slide post cover over 4x4 post (i put a screw through plastic base into post to prevent slip on cover from being removed easily), measure height needed for arm mount and pre-drill pilot holes for 2X lag mounting bolts (you will need a 7/16" socket to tighten these two bolts), and then 1x longer screw will mount the lower part of the arm mount to the post. The arm mount comes with a piece of wood sandwiched inside the plastic, this helps when mounting your mailbox mounting bracket on top of the arm. Plastic and metal mounting arms will have to be purchased separately. It's sturdy but there is some flex noticed when opening the mailbox door, i added a few extra longer screws (discreetly placed) underneath mounting arm to firm it up more....it helped a lot with the flex. Post ordered was black but the kit only came with taupe or white screw covers...little black paint fixed that problem.

Post looks great; the mail box when attached was slightly shaking side ways but does not affect its use. Overall happy with the product.

the support arm holding the actual mailbox does not remain at a right angle to the post. It leans downward, the mailbox therefore tilts down toward ground!!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Misty Had to return for refund
The product ships as 2 packages. When I was notified to pick up the mailbox post, only one package was there to pickup. The other had been lost by the store according to the customer service helpline. I had to return the one package I had received that contained the post with no arm to get a refund and then was asked to re-order online and ship to home if I wanted to buy the product again. I thought this was more time/effort than the quality of the product was worth. My main concern with the part I did receive was durability. It is about molded plastic form with a hollow center that pushes down over the 4x4 post you put in the ground. While the price was similar to what was being charged for similar products by other vendors, it is hard for me to justify ~$140 for thin molded plastic. Now that I have seen part in person, I probably will not reorder at this price. I would rather have something sturdier and/or more durable. I will ship to my home from now on to avoid things getting lost at the store again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JJ Exactly as advertised!
This mailbox post was exactly as advertised, arrived quickly and in great condition. We were somewhat concerned about the "clay" color we had chosen, but it turned out to be just right. The design offered something different from the regular straight post and was a great replacement for our old hand-painted wood box and post that were disintegrating.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kelly So easy even I can do it.
I put this post in using the ground screw instead of setting it in concrete. My mailbox can take a beating from snow plows so I needed an easy way to replace the post if need be. Took me a couple of hours to put it in, mostly because I had to get an old tree steak out that the old mailbox was wired to. I was able to put the ground screw in and put the post up myself. If you live in a hard clay area, you may need a little extra muscle help. I left this review because #1 I love the product and how it turned out and #2 to show if I can do this myself, anybody can. Posted a pic but haven't mulched or planted flowers yet so don't judge me too harshly.
