Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by steve Sharp looking appliance, great features
We got the MMV5208WS in black to match other appliances. Very satisfied. We love the glide tray for even heating. Heats quickly and evenly.
The only down side is that it seems to draw a lot of power when running. It turns out the outlet we used to plug it into is on the same circuit as most of the lights in the kitchen/dining room, and when it is running the lights dim. We even blew a circuit one time when all of the lights were on and started the microwave. I'm sure it will be fine if we move it to it's own circuit. Just something to be aware of.

The "turntable" is fantastic - consistent heating with no hot spots and can put a casserole in! Have only had it for a month but have had no issues. Also, worth every penny to have HD install it - in & out quickly and didn't have to deal with disposing my old one.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by wolfdrivers Superior Microhood!
I specifically was looking for another microhood that had the wide glide tray instead of the turntable. I hate turntables because they can not accomodate square or rectangular dishes or entrees. My last microhood, which was a Kenmore had the wide glide tray too. But not too many of the brands come with this feature. But the interior of this microwave in stainless is sharp and easy to clean. The microwave features are everything a person would need. It's sleek design with smooth hidden vent is awesome and much easier to clean than the older styled ones. I would not hesitate to purchase this one. I would think anyone would be happy with it.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Francine Beautiful Failure
Purchased May 2010, from Home Depot. The interior glide tray, stainless steel, sensor, all worked wonderful. Cooked beautifully. April 25, 2014, Failure! It just stopped heating. Everything works except the MAGNETRON! Very upset. Found that the magnetron was only covered for the first year according to the paper work, but that there was a 10yr limited warranty offered on the magnetron as of June 2010, same model #. Also, the inside seal on the door is plastic and pulling away. I am concerned about this discovery. I have been a Maytag customer for a long time and never had a problem before. Working with Maytag/Whirlpool to resolve this issue. The issue isn't resolved as of yet.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Moving2LV As functional as it is beautiful.
The unit is relatively easy to install as long as you follow the instructions precisely. I was able to install it by myself because it's not the first one I've ever installed - but a second set of hands would have made it a lot easier.
The unit is well constructed and the stainless steel interior is glorious to look at and easy to clean. The oscillating carriage (instead of a rotating platter) gives you many more options for cooking in different shaped bowls and plates.
All in all, we're thrilled with the purchase and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice looking, good performing and well built microwave.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by AnonymousInNorthernVA Stainless wasn't stainless when it arrived...
This microwave was nice in the store and the price was even better. The delivery team was excellent and understood my denial of delivery. The microwave arrived has if it came straight from the factory (still shrink wrapped and styrofoamed). Once I opened it up to confirm the model (my wonderful sales agent advised me to do this) and run a test warm up of a cup of water, I discovered rust on the inside. It was in both corners in the back. Was this just a bad model or will this develop more rust? After thinking about it, I decided to change to a different model.
This may have been a fluke, but just make sure you plug up yours and inspect with a flashlight - the light inside wasnt that bright.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Goodcustomer Installation Problem
The problem was with the installation.
1. The Home Depot supplied installation man did not have any masonry bits for ceramic tile.
I had to go to my garage to get him the right masonry bits and a punch to nick the tile.
2. The only toggle bolt he had was 5 times too large. He began drilling a huge hole in my wall that was enormous. He said that was the only toggle bolt size that he had. So, I went to my garage again and got smaller toggle bolts. He was going to drill these large holes unnecessarily until I stopped him.
3. He incorrectly missed the mark in drilling the mounting holes in my cabinet above the range. He had to make secondary holes, leaving the first one open.
4. I though that because they do this every day they would do a superior job. Not professional.
