I am a life-long Maytag customer, but I will never buy another Maytag appliance after this! Two days after it arrived in my house, the freezer starting frosting up. The freezer temperature goes up and down; I lost several food items because of it. Also, it is LOUD. I requested a new refrigerator because this one is defective, but Maytag says their policy is to repair, not replace. I waited 5 WEEKS for a repair, and it turned out to be nothing more than some putty being stuck in the side of my freezer door! Unbelievable! (See picture below.) I am now in the process of trying to return it and buy another brand. I don't need this time-waster in my busy life! DO NOT BUY THIS.

We recently purchased this fridge and within 12 days it was iced up. The freezer was 10 degrees and the fridge was 65. We had it serviced. They put in a new board. Same thing happened again. Then they came out and caulked the door frame, said it was not sealing properly. This morning we woke up and it was 55 degrees in the fridge. This thing is poorly designed. We want to get a replacement but they're not budging..

When you shut the fridge door it pops the freezer door. I called Home Depot and they sent out a repairman. He explained to me that all the fridges do that. They used to have a hole in the door to prevent this, how ever to make them more energy efficient mfg did away with it. He did djust the front legs so it was tilted backward a bit. doesn't help. We now use duct tape on it.

Purchased this refrigerator on August 2nd, was delivered August 6th. A few days after the refrigerator was plugged in we noticed ice building up inside the freezer, we checked the seal around the door and it was sagging on the bottom, the refrigerator door also started squeaking. I called Home Depot but was sent directly to the Maytag repair center, they sent out a technician within 3 days and he scheduled to come back and fix the problem last Wednesday. He said they would call the night before the give us the time slot but they never called so that morning I called the Maytag repair center to find out the time window when they would be there to fix the problem, they said that they had to order a part and the part would be delivered to our house, when we receive the part we need to call and schedule the installation. A few hours later I received an email from Maytag telling me that they don't have the part and they are looking for the part. I immediately called Home Depot and asked to return this $1000 refrigerator broken refrigerator that is less than a month old and I was told that Home Depot does not allow returns on major appliances. This is terrible customer service from both companies, Home Depot and Maytag. I think both Home Depot and Maytag should replace this dud with a new refrigeratro!!

The temperatures never remained remained constant and ica formed
On the freezer coils.
Waste of money.

It runs loudly and the back of the shelves in the refrigerator have frost. Sometimes the freezer has frost too. I am regretting my purchase. My 15 y/o refrigerator ran more quietly. I do not like the shelves on the freezer door. The base doesn't stick out far enough so anything you put on them slides off. When you open the refrigerator door 90 degrees it continues to swing open on it's own.

We purchased this a few weeks ago and upon delivery the freezer and fridge handles didn't line up. After 2 service calls, they are now going to try ordering a new freezer door. But the fridge itself isn't square and it doesn't come with any adjusters on it at all. The service tech wasn't to hopeful that a new for would fix the problem, but i wanted to try. If we would have know this is how maytag mass produces products with little care for quality we wouldn't have choose it. We bought 3 refridgerators at once and the other 2 are Frigidaire. They costed half the price and we have had not 1 problem so far. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
