Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by cooktop early issues to consider Replaced old coil type cook top with this unit recently. So far no problems with basic functions but have some concerns that make me think I should have purchased another coil type unit. While it is good looking it requires constant maintenance to keep it clean. We can no longer use several old pans which are not completely flat. The buttons are black against the black top and it is hard for old eyes to see which switches go with which burners and where they are set low or high. One is not to leave any pans on the top when not in use so must have a spot to put a hot pan when done cooking. We have cupboards above the cook top and if a dish fell on the cook top it could break it. August 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Versatile cooking elements and easy to install This model had all the features we needed at a reasonable price. Like all ceramic cooktops, it's a bit of a chore to keep it looking clean but that just helps it fit into the rest of our kitchen. Installation was straightforward and accomplished by my wife and I with relatively few expletives. December 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome cooktop Cooktop was easily installed by my son. I love the features and the low price that I payed. It's really hard to keep clean because of the shiny top, but I would think they all would be with a clear black top. September 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by A sharp looking, American made, well-functioning Cooktop This was purchased as a gift to replace a mid-70's vintage propane powered cooktop. The installation was fairly straight forward. The cutout in the counter had to be widened slightly to fit the new cooktop. Most of our time in install centered around fitting the new with the old cabinetry. Also, in converting from gas to electric, we had to run new wiring. The manual requires 8 gauge wires, which are very thick. The wiring we used was several large strands, versus the very fine strands used cooktop connection. This made it a little tricky to get a good connection in the wirenuts. In fact, when we first turned the circuit breaker on after wiring everything up, the cooktop didn't work. After checking the connections, we found the wires from the cooktop pulled out of the wirenuts with relative ease. After taking particular care in reattaching the wirenuts, we had no further issues. Our end result is a very nice looking cooktop, which seems to have great function. We haven't done much cooking yet (boiled water to congratulate ourselves for a job well done, and heated some soup) but no complaints. We ran all four burners at maximum power for several minutes and noted no issues. I'll note that we didn't use Home Depot's free installation. I'm not sure that the scope of our install would have qualified, but I bought the cooktop in one state so I could put it under the Christmas tree, and it was installed 200 miles away. January 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good product. Works well; looks nice; good warranty. Works and looks great. Easy install. I have it temporarily installed in the old cabinet so didn't bother with a picture. (Will be redoing kitchen soon.) As to the overall efficiency rating, wasn't concerned so don't have that info handy. (I'm sure it beats my old one.) February 2, 2014
