This refrigerator replaced a 20+ year old frig. that was a size that is no longer made, forcing me to downsize to a 22 cubic ft. My last refrigerator was a size by size, but being that I downsized I went with the french door hoping it would give me more useable space. With that said, this Maytag is just about everything I was hoping for in a refrigerator. I especially like the large, full width deli tray and the beverage rack. The shelves can be split to accommodate tall items and the deep door shelves hold just about as must as by old 25cf side by side. The freezer section, that I was so worried about, holds more than I need it to and is much more user friendly than a side by side.
Another feature that I'd like to mention is the lighting. If you haven't shopped for a refrigerator for a while, you'll find that most now have LED lighting. I HATE LED LIGHTING. I found that refrigerators with this lighting either had too few to adequately light the unit, where aimed out which resulted in blinding you when you opened the door, casted shadows throughout the unit and gave a gray color ting to you food, or had so many that the overall effect was shockingly bright. This Maytag, however, has the standard appliance bulb (2) that lights the unit perfectly.
My only complaint is the upper drawer in the freezer. Some models I looked at designed the upper drawer to pull out when the freezer was opened requiring you to push it back to get to the bottom bin. This is the opposite. You must bend and pull out the upper drawer to access the upper bin that also holds the ice container. It's a nitpicky complaint, but I wish it pulled out with the opening of the freezer to give quick access to the ice.
One last thing. The warranty on Maytag is excellent and far exceeds everything else except Samsung (which has the same). All the way to 10 years on the compressor. The warranty is so good that I didn't foot for the expended warranty that I thought was necessary with other brands with their 1 year limited warranties.

I have only had this fridge for a few weeks but so far no complaints. I love all the room. I can put a gallon and a half of milk on the door which leave a lot of space on the shelves for leftovers.

I love the freezer on the bottom feature, although the freezer has taken some reorganizing to figure out how to use it efficiently. My food is cold and easy to locate. I had read reviews that the refrigerator was noisy, but I didn't think that it would bother me....those type of things don't usually bother me. However, the refrigerator is noisy and seems to run a lot. It has taken some getting used to.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Ally Lazy design - Looks ridiculous!
The upper "french doors" are assymetrical, and the center "seam" between them is off-center relative to the freezer below, giving this refridgerator a horribly off-balance look. I bought this for my mother (sight unseen, as only the larger model was on display in the store), and am really sorry I did, because it looks silly. I have not seen another french door-style fridge like this. Unless it is in a corner, away from a head-on view, pick another model, as this off-kilter look is very obvious and annoying. Obviously, in their effort to make a smaller model, the designers unwisely chose to use two different sized doors (sijmilar to a side-by side model). What a foolish choice for a bottom freezer model! Shame on them.
