Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 1396 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Washer This is definitely a great washer, we recently purchased a home and there were no appliances, we checked out different types, high efficiency top loads, front loads, and standard washers like this one. I'm very pleased with our decision. Everything comes out clean and fresh. February 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by People are reviewing the wrong washer here, giving this one a bad name I own THIS washer, it has a center agitator, I've read a lot of reviews complaining about the "high efficiency" washer, without a center agitator, come on people, Maytag Centennial makes two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT washers, this one which is a FANTASTIC washer, and the piece of garbage "high efficiency" model. So before you keep someone from buying a good product with your poor reviews, be sure you're reviewing the correct product. I own THIS model, and I love it! February 23, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Never again. If you open the lid the cycle starts from the beginning. No choice to Just spin. I bought this washer thinking Maytag was reliable -think again. Within 1 month the pump gave out. It took 1 month to have someone under warranty to replace it. Then the solenoid gave out another two weeks without a brand new washer. Then the start/ stop function stopped : another 3 weeks without a washer. Worse than that there is no choice to JUST spin your clothes. You CAN'T open the lid and add anything once the water fill cycle is complete. I will never buy a washer with "automatic control". Its like driving a car which won't allow you to roll down the windows nor stop between destinations. Maytag should take it back to the drawing board. January 27, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by WORST WASHER I would never buy another Maytag again because this washer has broken twice in less then a year. I had one for 15 years when the belt broke and rather then replace it I bought a new one and I'm so disappointed with it. My daughter and brother are having the same issue with them continuing to break down because of the digital features. It seems everyone I speak to about the new washers and dryers are having the same problems. Maytag needs to go back to the old way of making machines because I'm ready to start using a laundry mat to wash my clothes. I would warn you to stay away from the digital and lid lock machines, they are horrible. October 12, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Complete and utter garbage We've owned this washer for 18 months and have had to call service twice. The first time it was covered under warranty. The washer started to sense the load, then just stopped. They replaced the circuit board. This time we're out of warranty. The washer stops at the spin cycle. Sometimes it spins, sometimes it doesn't. Today, it sounded like the motor was trying to spin it, but the drum wasn't moving. Even when it spins, the clothes come out sopping wet. I'm better off buying a new washer--which WILL NOT be a Maytag--than continuing to pay for repairs. STAY AWAY! August 23, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent clothes washer I like it. It has simple controls, it isn't too noisy and it was easy to install. (I forgot to check the free installation request box, because I already had new hoses to use.) Although I bought it for the smaller tub size, it still seems huge. It has not made a noticeable change in my power bill. I do recommend reading the instructions FIRST before you attempt to use it. The controls are so simple, I can understand people who do not do that. It is good to know that the lid LOCKS once the water stops filling and it is important to know that a light goes on when the load is DONE. (As with all washers there is a pause between cycles. Those eager to finish a load might mistake a pause for the end.) February 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by thankful buyer i was glad the salesman took the time to tell me about the washer i bought instead of the one i went to buy, the salesman told me how this one was a commercial grade machine and would likely last forever with just my wife and i to wash for. the machine is very quiet and my wife is impressed with how well it cleans and how the dryer doesn't run as long now because the washer spins out almost all water from the clothes April 20, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst washer ever The repair company has come over 6 times to fix my washer. I just purchased a LG washer today to replace after a year and half of ownership. June 21, 2014
