It's amazing what dryers can do these days, some of them allow you to program them to turn on while you're still at the office. I didn't want a technical wonder, I wanted a low-cost, simple, easy to use machine whose operation was self-explanatory. This dryer was pretty much what I was looking for. It's very easy to operate, I don't have to read a manual to know how to operate it, and it's more quiet than my previous dryer. The price definitely within my price range too.
The only thing I dislike is that the lint trap is on top, rather than on the door. Whenever I open it, dust and lint get on everything.

We had to replace our old LG front loader after about 7 years. This Whirlpool Cabrio is really a nice looking machine. It spins at 1100 rpm's and thats what we wanted. The clothes come out super dry, as dry as any of the front loaders. It is very quiet through all of the cycles. The clothes come out very very clean. I have no issues. I can't wait till our dryer goes out so I can buy the matching dryer. Then I can't remodel the laundry room and it look great and have two of the best machines on the market. I research all of the washers and went down to inspect them personally and this one is really built well. Heavy drum and top door and the beautiful panel are what sold me.

I've only had this dryer a month but love it. It's got a huge capacity and for the first time ever, it keeps up with the washing machine which means when the washing machine load is finished, so is the dryer - especially for sheets and towels. Easy to operate and just what I needed.

The "energy preferred" option (a moisture sensor setting) works extremely well on this Maytag dryer. The dryer handles small and large loads well (and accurately--not over- or under-dried). The dryer drum is quite large and is able to handle comforters that my other dryers through the years have not. My only complaint is that the "end of cycle" buzzer is extremely loud--and I can't find a way to adjust the volume. For those who must put a dryer in the basement, this loud buzzer is probably necessary. My dryer is just off the kitchen, however, and the sound still makes me jump.

For a lower end model we are quite pleased with this dryer.
Over the years I have found that when you purchase an appliance and you don't get one of the top end models one of the ways that the manufacturers make the unit less expensive is to not put a lot of sound insulating material in them. Our Kenmore dishwasher can be heard through almost the whole house, good washer but what a racket. That must not be the case with this dryer because it is very quiet and smooth.
Have not had it very long yet but so far it is exceeding our expectations and we would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

I bought this in January and have been mostly happy. It dries my clothes super fast and has a lot of different settings. It also has about 1 1/2 times the capacity of my old dryer so the clothes are practically wrinkle free. The drawbacks for me is it is not very quiet, and has gotten noisier in just the few months I have had it, the installation requires it to be quite far from the wall in the back in which i did not anticipate and we have a hall laundry closet so it is almost too big, also the auto settings s kind of annoying because it has a wrinkle free feature at the end that causes it to cycle off an on and sets off the dryer signal each time it stops. Ÿou can turn the signal off but then you dont know when it is done.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by vic o excellent quality - value combination best per dollar/performance dryer out there
I purchased this about 3 weeks ago and have done several types of wash loads
and clothing types for this dryers. All have been accommodated extremely efficiently by this dryers. Internal light feature is very nice as is external access
to lint filter. Our old dryer lasted 46 years including 2 changes of elements and
2 belt changes. Our hope is that the Maytag will last us at least half that time.

I've owned this machine for about a month now. It dries clothes quickly and without much noise. In fact, it will dry a load of towels faster than my washing machine will wash a regular load of laundry. My old dryer wouldn't have dreamed of this. I was so impressed, when my washer went out two weeks ago, I purchased the matching washing machine. I couldn't be happier with the purchases.
