It's amazing what dryers can do these days, some of them allow you to program them to turn on while you're still at the office. I didn't want a technical wonder, I wanted a low-cost, simple, easy to use machine whose operation was self-explanatory. This dryer was pretty much what I was looking for. It's very easy to operate, I don't have to read a manual to know how to operate it, and it's more quiet than my previous dryer. The price definitely within my price range too.
The only thing I dislike is that the lint trap is on top, rather than on the door. Whenever I open it, dust and lint get on everything.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Housewife Great dryer!
I've only had this dryer a month but love it. It's got a huge capacity and for the first time ever, it keeps up with the washing machine which means when the washing machine load is finished, so is the dryer - especially for sheets and towels. Easy to operate and just what I needed.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ronnmaui Can't get any better than this!
We had to replace our old LG front loader after about 7 years. This Whirlpool Cabrio is really a nice looking machine. It spins at 1100 rpm's and thats what we wanted. The clothes come out super dry, as dry as any of the front loaders. It is very quiet through all of the cycles. The clothes come out very very clean. I have no issues. I can't wait till our dryer goes out so I can buy the matching dryer. Then I can't remodel the laundry room and it look great and have two of the best machines on the market. I research all of the washers and went down to inspect them personally and this one is really built well. Heavy drum and top door and the beautiful panel are what sold me.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by DriFran It works really well BUT it's extremely loud!!!
I bought this dryer almost a year ago to replace an old dryer that was getting too noisy and had little bit of a burning smell... It was going to stop working - or worse - at any time. That's why I bought this Maytag.
It turned out that this dryer was almost as noisy as the other one.
It dries really, really well, but it's noisy!! And I believe it's getting louder and louder as time goes by. I wonder about giving a call to Maytag to see if they can come and check things out before the 1-year warranty expires....

I bought the dryer 2/14/15 as a replacement for my 22 year old faithful Maytag dryer which decided to not heat any longer. The new dryer takes 3 times longer to dry then my former dryer for the same size medium load. It's very annoying since it ties up a big part of the day doing 2 medium sized loads. 210 minutes to dry one load. I am so disappointed in Maytag.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by jj53 Great dryer
The "energy preferred" option (a moisture sensor setting) works extremely well on this Maytag dryer. The dryer handles small and large loads well (and accurately--not over- or under-dried). The dryer drum is quite large and is able to handle comforters that my other dryers through the years have not. My only complaint is that the "end of cycle" buzzer is extremely loud--and I can't find a way to adjust the volume. For those who must put a dryer in the basement, this loud buzzer is probably necessary. My dryer is just off the kitchen, however, and the sound still makes me jump.

Although I had this for a very short time - I will wait to see it holds up to my previous Maytag Dryer that had lasted over 20 years and still have the Washer going strong. There are a few things I would change like the door is hard to open and the dust vent should not be located on top but back like it was when you open up the door easier to remove. It seems to take more time to dry but I do love the bigger capacity.
