This dryer is a little noisier than the previous model that I owned (it was 12 years old), but I think the noise is not unreasonable.

This unit is quiet! I've had it almost a year and love it. It is located next to a bedroom and no problem sleeping. Just remember to turn off the "finished- alarm" as it goes for a long time which was annoying when sleeping.

All dryers are shipped without a plug. 220 outlets vary in shape. Look to see how your outlet is set up, then buy the cord

Yes, the unit does ship without a cord and that is why you are prompted to purchase one. If you do not purchase one the installer is required to bill you for one if he does the installation. If the customer refuses the installer cannot complete the installation.

My dryer has an angular protrusion of a couple inches behind the dryer box and below the control panel. It is silver metal, not white enamel, like the dryer box. The protrusion itself has a flat back.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 2508 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Simple, works well, large capacity This is a pretty nice, no frills drier. It has a large capacity, several temperature choices, automatic or timed drying, and gets the job done well. I would have given it five stars, but for,the fact you have to slam the door extraordinarily hard to get it to close. No big deal, but it's a little annoying. June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So far it's GREAT! Drying time is cut in half. We are senior citizens and have found the new dryer to cut the drying time (compared to our old Maytag dryer) in half. We will be interested to get our next electric bill to see if our usage has also be cut. May 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 7.0 cu.ft.Dryer w/Wrinkle Control We have only had the dryer a short while (almost 2 months), but so far, it has been great. February 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great buy We have a smaller washer and the larger capacity dryer does an excellent job of drying our clothes quickly and wrinkle free. February 5, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by quiet satisfied works very well February 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Maytag Dryer I recently got a new Maytag washer so my wife decided that we needed a matching dryer so I picked out the same model as the washer, the other one still worked but was a different color. However, the new washer sticks out 3" from the dryer - not what I was looking for. I can't pull the washer out to make them even as it would interfere with the oven door the way my kitchen is set up. I measured the tops of both, but didn't know it would have to be that far away from the kitchen wall. My old Maytag was almost flush. Not a happy camper. October 31, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Electric clothes dryer It has a large drying capacity, which is definitely a plus when drying larger items, August 18, 2015
