CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 385 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Maytag dishwasher Two piece hose bib was hard to keep from leaking In the installation . That is our only beef.Once together it has worked great. There are not a ton of features , but I don't need that , I just need clean dishes and silverware . Not too much to ask for with this maytag. It does the job very well and is handsome in the kitchen. Oh,and it's quiet ! August 12, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Works Well, Seems Small, Door Disconcerting The new Maytag is quiet and efficient. The dishes come out clean without a fault. I am really surprised by how quiet the unit is. The inside is a bit smaller than our last Maytag, and dish placement is a bit of an issue due the the way the racks are arranged; but this is manageable. My only issue is the door. You need to give it a decent tug to open it and there is no real latch to speak of. Our last Maytag only lasted 5 years. The plastic door handle broke after a few years (and it was not covered by warranty) and just recently the door electric panel started on fire. I am hoping this model is designed better to withstand normal daily use. August 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent dishwasher with garburator I was looking for dishwasher with garburator, replacing our 20+ years Kenmore (with garburator). I eliminated Electrolux, friend's recently purchased Frigidaire/Electrolux Professional $800+, made in Italy, a dishwasher that turned out to be a lemon. I wanted with hard-food disposal, most come with filter that has to be cleaned regularly. I like Maytag front display panel to follow cycles, and stainless still inside/out. Although it was in the lower price range, we decided for this machine mostly because of outside control panel, stainless steel rotating blades, 10-year limited parts warranty, and 50 decibel. Using the auto cycle, completely loaded, produced spotless clean dishes, even the top rack dishes were clean and dry. Quiet enough not to disturb while watching TV in our open kitchen/living room. Extremely happy with the machine. Of course, I purchased the extended warranty, you can never trust electronics. August 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Does the job well! We bought this dishwasher to replace a 4 year old GE model that had a series of major issues. We've had it a week and have really tried to put it through its paces... What a difference! I'm a "strategic loader" and my husband is...not. :) Doesn't matter! This thing gets everything spotless. If I had to state a drawback, it's that it takes almost 3 hours to wash a load. However, everything comes out clean and mostly dry. It's quiet... sturdy... does the job... and comes with a great warranty. :) Oh, and I was able to install it myself! June 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by So far so good After a couple of months unit is still working ok. Still a little nervous about reliability down the road given others' experiences with similar units but given the sale price I took the chance. The specific model I received did NOT come with the stainless flatware basket. I don't know why manufacturers limit things like 3rd rack, smooth rolling racks, etc. to models costing HUNDREDS more. Those features are not expensive things to make or add on their end. It seems what they offer for sometimes double the price just doesn't add up. Dishes come out clean, cycle is very long as is typical with all the newer models. Door can be hard to open. Takes some force to push it down toward the floor as it has a stiff spring. Sometimes pulling the door open during a cycle will allow some water to splash out since it runs until the door sensor trips. My previous model had a small lever you pulled as you opened the door and that lever (like an SUV rear lift gate) stopped it before you broke the seal of the door. The force to pull the door open seems to flex the front panel so hopefully repeated openings will not stress the electronics stored behind there from the pulling. The top rack can be a little sticky as it mates with the nozzle in the rear that powers the top rack sprayer. Smoother rolling top rack would be nice. Overall it cleans well, holds a lot and looks really nice for the price. Home Depot installers were nice and did a good, thorough job. Fingers crossed it holds up! September 2, 2014
