This range replaces a standard 30-year-old four-burner, oven/broiler gas range. There was a definite learning curve for me. First, my old range burners each provided the same heat output. This range has five-burners with different heat outputs. It took a while to appreciate the different levels (low on one could equal high on another). Second, the lower oven has a convection option, a feature I have not had. Controls are user friendly and easy to understand. (Not necessary to read the manual.) I'm a retired guy who cooks and entertains a lot. If cooking for myself, I use the smaller upper oven. I also use it in the "warm" mode to heat dinner plates prior to serving or to warm butter-filled rolls. I tested the convection oven by making a dish I had done hundreds of times: baked chicken quarters. I chose the lower heat option rather than the shorter time option for the test. The chicken was nicely crisp on the outside. The surprise was how moist and juicy it was on the inside. The difference was quite noticeable and pleasing. I plan on another test with another frequent dish. I think I will be converted to convection cooking. I like the smallest burner which enables me to simmer or keep warm sauces/gravies without constant stirring and attention. Not being the neatest of cooks, I am very pleased with how easy it is to clean the range top. I've been using this range for about a month now and I have no complaints. It is a good unit. Purchased this oven 2 1/2 years ago. Within the first 6 months the coating on the grates started peeling off exposing the cast iron, Of course warranty doesn't cover. Two years in the electronic control panel stopped working ($500 for parts). Just like the other reviews spills get in between the glass & door on the oven = which is not too noticeable because the self cleaning feature doesn't clean the inside of the door so you cant see through the glass anyway. Oven cooks UNEVEN - always undercooked or burned if you do not check on food frequently. Can not believe I spent so much money on an Range that looks terrible and functions even worst.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nick Hate the grills.
Temperature uniformity in the ovens is average at best. Plan to rotate trays or cookie sheets half way through the cooking time. The two grills over the five burners are large and heavy, and do not fit in most dishwashers. Though the grills are large, there are fewer support bars than on smaller individual-burner grills so smaller pots and pans tip easily. This is a safety hazard as well as an irritation. There is a wide gap at the joint between the stove top and the front panel that is difficult to clean. Brushed stainless steel is more difficult to clean than enamel. The stainless panels dent and scratch more easily than enameled steel. I would not buy this again.

Customer sales and service were very informative and once the decision was made, the sale completion went very smoothly.Actual delivery time was set back 2 times by a few days. But the install team was fantastic.I was very pleased with the delivery and set up.
The double oven is above and beyond my expectations! It's extremely easy to use.
I've not used the convection oven yet but can't wait to give it a try.
I love the stove top grill as it cover the entire surface and the fact that it has 5 burners and will accomidate just about any type of cookware.
The instruction book that accompnies the stove is very informative.

I spent a lot of time searching for just the right stove for my kitchen remodel. This one has it all! And it looks gorgeous while it does it all! My only complaint is that you should be able to purchase the stove set up for the gas you use. It only comes set for natural gas, then you have to pay someone to switch it over to LP. The instructions that come with it are not for the actual stove I purchased because it references a part that no longer exists on this model. A call to Maytag was no help. They were 'afraid' to give information for fear that it would be done incorrectly. Of course I was welcome to pay a Maytag repairman to come.

Had it for about two years. The largest burner worked for about 2 weeks before having to have it repaired--which, while it was under warranty, was a huge hassle. Service was not very friendly or accessible. The burner works well, but goes out often when ever there is a spill and is hard to restart. Biggest issue is with the convention oven. Upgraded and paid extra for consistent heat, but the oven will not maintain the temperature. Heats up to a specified temp, but the temp drops down, and the oven doesn't turn the heat back up. Completely ruined several batches of cookies. While it has some appealing features, I strongly advise consumers to avoid this range.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by CVAR Though it looks great, it does not work well
I will not recommend this product. Though it looks great in my kitchen, this is pretty much all I got out of this purchase.
The quality of the product is extremely poor! Its been over 1 year since we purchased this, and all the knobs in the front of the stove have stopped working! I cannot switch on the stove top anymore!
Cleaning is a challenge, thus making cooking a challenge. If there is a spill, then it trickles into the layer between the steel and glass in front of the top oven and cleaning that is impossible, because the only way to get to it is to dismantle the oven door, which I'm not willing to do!
I will definitely NOT recommend this product.
