These portables are so expensive (the comparable built-in costs hundreds less), but if you don't have the cabinet space in your kitchen and hate doing dishes, they are a terrific solution. I am happy with the features, but it would be nice if there were some indication of what cycle the machine is in at any given time. It only indicates when it is finished. Also, compared to my last portable dishwasher (a kenmore) this one is much quieter. It isn't exactly quiet, but for a portable it's very good. I wish the height of the unit was adjustable--I ended up using adhesive pads instead of the included wheels to lower the unit, and then switched the top to a smaller one in order to fit the unit under an overhanging countertop (see photo).

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JoeOnline Great Labor Saver!
I needed a portable dishwasher for a variety of reasons. I picked this unit after doing lots of shopping in a variety of stores. I was nervous about ordering it online without seeing it first, but so far my expectations have been exceeded! It's easy to use, cleans well, and makes the expected amount of noise considering that it's not enclosed by cabinetry. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kathy Awesome dishwasher. Fits my kitchen and my lifestyle!
This dishwasher is the best of the best. I love the fact that it has 2 spray arms to reach the upper and lower shelves. It's large enough for 2 or 3 meals worth of dishes so it's a real value for the money. This dishwasher is so quiet that you don't even realize it's running!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DWBrown1 Very Happy with this Maytag Product
Glad we chose 24" vs 18" unit. Fits nicely in small Jersey shore cottage. Very easy to install. Unscrew areator from kitchen sink and screw on the quick-connect adapter.
The AC power cord reaches out about 68-70". The faucet hot water/drain supply line when fully extended reaches out about 40".
This Maytag portable unit does a very nice job cleaning all our dishes, pots, silverware, etc. As good as undercabinet permanent installed unit at primary home. Would highly recommend this unit.
PS - consulted with neighbor master plumber who said it would be easy to make it a permenant install to share hot water supply with stacked washer/dryer.

I had a Kenmore portable dishwasher for 9 years prior to this one. I read the reviews, did some research and was happy with my purchase. Until I used it!! I do not load really dirty dishes, and what little is one the dishes, are still there when its done. So I tried washing under 'heavy'. It took just over two hours to run, not including dry time! Just had practical to have a dish washer that I have to still clean the dishes after, or have running for two hours in the middle of my kitchen. I can return it for a 15% restocking fee. I am just so unhappy with this whole transaction. I would get the Kenmore again in a heartbeat.

I love this dishwasher and it does a great job. Dishes that I didn't think it would clean came out spotless. It is not loud.I would recommend this dishwaser to anybody. It was a little pricey but I guess in the end it was worth it considering all the trouble it has saved me. And I have had to load it to full capacity and it was not a problem for this dishwaser. Everything was clean since it has a sprayer located under the top rack too. Alot of the other diswashers don't have that and I can't imagine them being able to clean as good as this one. Come out of your pocket and get this better one. It's worth it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ILR1950 A good product
I moved into a 60 year old house and discovered the counters are too low to fit a built in dish washer. My options were to tear out the cabinets, which wasnt a desirable option, continue to do dishes by hand, which also wasnt that desirable an option, or get a portable dish washer. I have only had it for a short time, but Im very pleased with it so far. It runs quietly, it isnt that hard to move around, and it does a good job cleaning the usual plates, cups and bowls. I havent had the chance to see how it works on a lasagna pan or a mac n cheese casserole dish.

This dishwasher does a great job at cleaning the dishes. We have very hard water where we live and have never had a dishwasher that could handle the water until now. It does run for a long time, and it would be nice to have a cycle indicator. Note: when I placed the order online, the Home Depot ordering process tried to add "required" extras like setup and some kind of hose or power cord. Setup for this portable model couldn't be easier (two people is a must because you have to lay the dishwasher down to put the wheels on). We set up with no tools at all. And it comes with all needed cords/hoses already attached, so don't add anything unless you don't have anyone to help you put the wheels on! Other than that, no complaints!
