I needed a portable dishwasher for a variety of reasons. I picked this unit after doing lots of shopping in a variety of stores. I was nervous about ordering it online without seeing it first, but so far my expectations have been exceeded! It's easy to use, cleans well, and makes the expected amount of noise considering that it's not enclosed by cabinetry. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kathy Awesome dishwasher. Fits my kitchen and my lifestyle!
This dishwasher is the best of the best. I love the fact that it has 2 spray arms to reach the upper and lower shelves. It's large enough for 2 or 3 meals worth of dishes so it's a real value for the money. This dishwasher is so quiet that you don't even realize it's running!

These portables are so expensive (the comparable built-in costs hundreds less), but if you don't have the cabinet space in your kitchen and hate doing dishes, they are a terrific solution. I am happy with the features, but it would be nice if there were some indication of what cycle the machine is in at any given time. It only indicates when it is finished. Also, compared to my last portable dishwasher (a kenmore) this one is much quieter. It isn't exactly quiet, but for a portable it's very good. I wish the height of the unit was adjustable--I ended up using adhesive pads instead of the included wheels to lower the unit, and then switched the top to a smaller one in order to fit the unit under an overhanging countertop (see photo).

This dishwasher does a great job at cleaning the dishes. We have very hard water where we live and have never had a dishwasher that could handle the water until now. It does run for a long time, and it would be nice to have a cycle indicator. Note: when I placed the order online, the Home Depot ordering process tried to add "required" extras like setup and some kind of hose or power cord. Setup for this portable model couldn't be easier (two people is a must because you have to lay the dishwasher down to put the wheels on). We set up with no tools at all. And it comes with all needed cords/hoses already attached, so don't add anything unless you don't have anyone to help you put the wheels on! Other than that, no complaints!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Robert my wife loves it.
I love this dishwasher and it does a great job. Dishes that I didn't think it would clean came out spotless. It is not loud.I would recommend this dishwaser to anybody. It was a little pricey but I guess in the end it was worth it considering all the trouble it has saved me. And I have had to load it to full capacity and it was not a problem for this dishwaser. Everything was clean since it has a sprayer located under the top rack too. Alot of the other diswashers don't have that and I can't imagine them being able to clean as good as this one. Come out of your pocket and get this better one. It's worth it.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Walter design flawed in two respects
This new portable was delivered August 30, 2012 as a replacement for a 20+ year old previous Maytag, which was outstanding. My impression is the old model was better. For example, I was surprised that this new model does not have a fan that circulates heated air and so it does not power dry as well as the old model. This new model also leaks from the base of the front door if the dishwasher is located on a floor that tilts forward. The wheels have no height adjustment to correct for this so I have to run it with the washer turned 180 degrees. The top cutting board is not wood and is thinner, the connecting hoses seem less heavy duty and the connectors are plastic rather than stainless steel. Controls do not show time remaining in cycles or even which cycle is in progress. I paid more inflation adjusted money for this new dishwasher than I did for the old one, but it is not as good. Ask me in 20 years how well this dishwasher is holding up in terms of the legendary Maytag reliability and freedom from need for repair. I've heard Maytag is now owned by Whirlpool.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nancy Over all a great Machine
I like this machine. It cleans great and does not leave residue.
I do not like the fact that is can run for 2 or more hours. It does not dry real well, but when I unplug it, I just crack the door a bit and it will finish by air drying.
I would recommend this product.

Bought the product to replace an old one that finally died. This one had a sanitize cycle which is the reason I selected it. This dishwasher is much lighter than the old one. The faucet connection is plastic and would seem to break easily. The one thing that I don't like about it is there are no handles to grab to move the dishwasher around. The dry cycle doesn't seem to do a good job at drying but I mostly let them air dry.
