it started leaking after 10 months of use from the left corner just where the door connects. What can be the problem. Is it still under the warranty if I call someone to fix it?

I don't have an answer, but I am having the same problem. It started leaking several months after installation and the leak is in the exact same location as you describe (left corner, under the door). The strange thing is, it doesn't always leak. At first I thought it was related to the cycle selected, but that doesn't seem to affect it. I usually use the "Light" cycle and it leaks about 65% of the time. Read More

At first I thought it was related to the cycle selected, but that doesn't seem to affect it. I usually use the "Light" cycle and it leaks about 65% of the time. Sometimes it is just a small leak (maybe 2oz?), other times it is several cups worth. I can't determine a pattern in terms of what is causing the leak (e.g., door not shut properly, washer loaded to full, etc.).

kay 71,
I apologize for the issues that you are experiencing with your Maytag dishwasher. There are a couple of possibilities that I will share, but I would suggest that you call The Home Depot/Maytag Hotline and speak with a Parts and Service Specialist. They would be able to ask more questions to better understand the problem. Also, they can setup service. If your Dishwasher is less than a year old and from your statement, it appears to be, then it would still be covered under warranty. Plus, if you purchased an extended service contract through The Home Depot, that would apply as well.
Possibilities for the issue:
1) Installation was not done correctly. If the DW is not leveled properly and is leaning even slightly forward, water can push towards the door and leak out. Or, there might be a water line issue coming into the dishwasher.
2) There might be an issue with the appliance itself with the door or seal on the dishwasher.

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 268 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by quiet and efficient I don;t own this for too long and maybe used it 10 times, but so far it looks like a great buy. It has planty of options to choose from, the hard scrub really does great job with cleaning big messes. the drying feature is not working as well as our old dishwasher, but maybe if you open the door, it would dry faster? It is the same capacity, but definitely more silent than our previous dishwasher and looks way better too :) Overall, good experience, I would recommend this. July 30, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Please Do Not Buy! Please! This dishwasher was just outside the 1-year warranty when the control panel exploded. We bought an extended warranty through Maytag which was revoked the minute they realized the dishwasher would cost more to repair than buying a new one. They did not even bother to notify us. We spent over $1000 dollars on a dishwasher and extended warranty for a dishwasher that didn't even last two years. PLEASE, save yourself the money, time and aggravation and DO NOT BUY MAYTAG! June 30, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JUNK We have owned this model of dishwasher for just over a year and now it will not drain properly, something is wrong with the motor. Who knows how much it will cost to fix and for a new motor, we will probably end up having to buy a new dishwasher now. So glad we are out all of the money we wasted on this and now we will most likely have to spend quite a bit on a new one. I am very disappointed and upset with this product. I should also mention, this is our 2nd dishwasher of this model. When the first one was delivered to our home there was a crack in the tub, it was manufactured that way so they had to give us a new one. I really question the quality of this brand. October 13, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by you get what you pay for... We have had this dishwasher for about 3.5 years. The electrical panel went out a couple of weeks ago and we just got it fixed today which prompted me to write the review. It cost almost $200 to repair and we paid around $400 for it so the repair cost does seem excessive but I figure they are using pretty cheap parts to begin with for it to be so inexpensive in the first place. Bottom line, you get what you pay for. I hated shelling out the money to fix it but in the end I am still less than $600 in for a dishwasher that I should hopefully have for many more years to come. May 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent customer service and... Con first: First unit defective, BUT Home Depot and Maytag corrected soonest. slight delay due to back-order (7 days). Both customer service personal (Home Depot & Maytag) were very helpful and friendly. Both also treated me like a person, not a number or dollar sign. Pros: Quiet like quiet. My son added some foam, but was easy to apply and did not impair installation. Easy to read display. Have used twice and following directions the items came out Clean and DRY. Now if I can get the robot to put the dishes in the right shelves every thing will be great (heheheh) Darn I AM Robot... May 26, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Does a poor job "Purchased this model in white last spring (not available anymore) and it leaves the dishes dirty. Dishes on the top rack along the center are left with a dirty grit. They need to be rewashed after they come out of the dishwasher. Since the dishes come out dirty I can't use the heatdry feature as this bakes the dirty grit on the dishes. I had service techs come to my home 5 times with no results. I was told it was the soap dispenser. A new one was installed. Nope! I was told it was the detergent I used in the gel packs. I changed detergents. Nope! I was told I use too much detergent and JetDry. I used less. Nope! The last tech that came was the most honest...he said he had no idea. I did appreciate his honesty. Maytag support was not very nice. They said that their was nothing much more they could do, with a bit of attitude. March 15, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by This product is a good value for the price. Since I have arthritis in my hands I was concerned about how hard the hidden control buttons would be to push but havn't had any trouble. Also this model didn't get as good of reviews as the one below it which didn't have the steam feature, but since this one was on sale for the same price I went with it. It does a great job at cleaning, but the interior is poorly designed. If there were more than 2 people in our household it would need to be run more than once a day. If you have large glasses there are few spaces to hold them securely. Also don't expect to hear the TV if its running...IT IS NOISY! Overall for the price I'm not sorry I purchased it. April 9, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality handle The only problem we had with this dishwasher was the handle. It did not fit flush with the dishwasher and looked like shoddy workmanship. We had three companies come try to fix/tighten handle and all said, "That's just the way it is." Tried having the door replaced, and that handle was actually worse and wiggly. It felt like it would break off at any moment, and we ended up exchanging the appliance. Home Depot was very accommodating. March 4, 2014
