Rated 5 out of 5Â by Darrell I should have purchased a machine like this years ago.
This review comes from a single guy who never cared about washers or dryers as long as they got clothes clean. I had a 20 year old top Maytag top loader that I purchased right out of college. Up until last week, I had to monitor my wash cycle just to add fabric softner to my clothes. My old Maytag finally died so off I went into Home Depot to find me another 399.00 washing machine and be done. I had a washer picked out and while the guy at Home Depot was checking to see what Delivery date I could get, I overhear a couple talking about the Front Load machines, I start looking around and I see rebates, steam, and all this jazz. When the sales guy returned, I begin to ask questions about the front loader machines. The guy was a wealth of information however I was not going to take the Sales Pitch so I started doing research on my own and I realized how much I was in the stone age about washers and dryers. After I did my research, I begin to search for a model in my price range and I also read most of the reviews here. The night I brought this machine, I was down to two models. This machine and the LG Machine. They are pretty similiar with the exception being the LG has 5 rinse tempertures(3 more than the Maytag), the LG includes hoses with their purchase, however it was $105.00 more than the Maytag. I went with the Maytag and boy was I surprised at how clean my clothes came out. The biggest difference is my white clothes and the clothes I use when I do yardwork. I have a newer home so my laundry room is downstairs. With my old machine I could hear it upstairs when the spin cycle started. For those that complained about machine noise, something must be wrong with your machine. The most noise my machine makes is when it starts reviving up for the spin, other than that, I can barely hear it. The best second feature away from the Steam is the delay function. I love being able to have clothes just finishing their wash when I come home from work, so that they can go straigh to the dryer, which reminds me, people are right when they say their clothers take less drying time. I stayed in the wash room last night to watch my clothes wash and it was like watching paint dry but when it was done, I could smell the fabric softner through the door. Remember to wipe your machine down and leave the door open. This machine brought me out of the Dark ages and the Home Depot delivery guys were awesome. I dont need a dryer but I am going to get one just to have a matching set. Get this machine, it's awesome, it washed my paddling clothes and my King size comforter! Awesome machine!

I bought this is December 2013, when it was on sale for $699. Got it delivered to my new home in March 2014. Works like a charm. Quiet, efficient, uses less water and electricity.

Washer lasted less than 1 month before needing service. Due to engineering flaw, water sensor tubing can rub on motor, damage tube, and cause water to not cut off. When water doesn't cut off, this can cause flooding until you manually cut off the water! Fishing anyone? Never leave washer unattended!
But lots of features and cleans clothes well!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by kenneth WOW Great Product LOVE IT and the LOVE THE PRICE!!
If i had read all the reviews prior to purchase it would have scared me. I have no problems with this product it really works and sanitizes my families clothes Note: it has a little longer wash times that takes some getting use to.
WOW the clothes are clean and if the energy rating is true it will reflect in my electric bill with BGE. LOVE this Product very quite hardly know it is even on except the bells at cycles end.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs to upgrade for any reason to include energy savings, machine replacement, new install or for any other reason i didnt list, just read the stores reviews it may help you decided or not Darn glad i didnt and this is the best washer i have ever bought in 25 years!!

I was replacing a Kenmore washer that was 20 plus years old. I did a ton of research and spoke to many Salespeople regarding the pros and cons of front load vs. top load. I made final decision based on how myself and family members would use the machine. While the price was a bit of a shock in the end I'm pleased with the final cost. I love so many of the features, I've been able to wash large items like comforters and sleeping bags my old top load couldn't as well as delicate items and heavy loads of towels. Not only is the wash cycle much shorter than my old machine, it now takes less time to dry. I have owned this washer for 1 month now and will expect to see not only reduced electric bills but gas bill as well. (less water to heat and pump from the well and the clothes come out with less water to dry) You can customize most cycles to your liking. As an example I switch to a lower spin cycle on some loads. My favorite feature believe it or not is the delayed start! I can load in the morning, delay the start up to 6 hours and it's ready to throw in the dryer when I get home. No need for wet clothes to sit now.
