This will work if you are 5'2", under 150 pounds, have knee caps like a chicken, and only do your little weekend projects like plant flowers. The knee pads are very small and the straps are very short. Very uncomfortable and I had to return them. they cut off circulation and the straps also dig into the back of your knees causing all sorts of binding pain and redness welts. The tag says that this company has been "Building America for over 60 (or so) years yet they are made overseas. If this company wants to build America, they should make them in AMERICA.

These are well worth the money. The gel is so soft and comfortable that have no pain in the knee or the shins. I had surgery over 7 months ago and have a plate right below the knee. The other knee pads I had were too firm and I can feel the discomfort of the plate below the knee. These pads are so comfortable that if I could rate them a 10 instead of a 5 as your high mark, I would. I have lots of work that needs to be caught up since my injury and I know that these knee pads with the comfort will let me achieve my work around the house in a breeze. Thank you for selling a good product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best ever Had them over 2 years. So durable? Yes very. I'm 55 6'4" 275 and my knees are toast. I use them for everything! Cement work... Just hose the off... Fixing sprinklers...etc I seriously can't get on my knees without them. With them on I can walk around in my knees. I'm actually going to buy another pair today. Have a weekend house and I forgot to bring them... I guess it's time to keep a pair here. Lol. But seriously, best knee pads I've ever had. Easy to put on and they stay put. Comfortable... And I'm ALWAYS wearing them with shorts. Hope this helps. They really are nice.

McGuire-Nicholas Gel-Foam Stabilizer Knee Pads are a step above the other pads I have owned and worn out. They are much more comfortable on the knees but the Velcro strap hooks have a tendency to scratch the back on my legs when wearing shorts. Reversing the Velcro hooks and loops would probably resolve this issue. While this is not a deal breaker, it is the only downside I can comment on after a couple weeks of use. The stability aspect is good once you get used to placing the pads in the correct position and walking in these are much more comfortable than the crossed straps of some competitors. As others have commented on, they are a bit warm when wearing for a while but considering the padding and complete coverage I think it's to be expected.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not that great b Bought these today. Worked about 4 to 5 hours in them. One other review said they were hard to keep flat. That was true for me also. They would twist to the side. Now the even worst part. The strap goes right around the back middle of your knee. I got done laying the floor popped these off to blisters on the back of my knees. Maybe I should have wore long pants, but it is Aug in the south. Probably going back tomorrow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So comfortable. I had a regular $10 pair of knee pads and they kept sliding down or rolling off to the sides. My knees were killing me even with the pads. I saw these thought they were pricey but figured if they sucked I would take them back. They are definitely not going back. I love these knee pads. They are very comfortable, they stay put and definitely don't roll to the sides while I'm doing tile work.

I am on anything from concrete to landscape stone or dirt. I had someone lend me a pair of AWP foam kneepads and my knees where killing me after one day. I figured I would spend the money upfront instead of multiple $10 pairs that I might not be happy with. I have used these for the past few months and have not looked back. They do what a kneepad should do. They stay put, strap is secure, doesn't bunch, very comfortable. It is very stable on different surfaces, I enjoy being on my knees over landscape rock as I don't feel the rocks and they are pretty stable on such an unstable surface. I highly recommend this product. Spend the money upfront and you will not be disappointed. When these wear out I will be back to get another pair. I have larger calves than most and the straps are at max stretch however I find that the straps never lose grip and as the day wears on I find the straps stretch a bit and get more comfortable.

He is 55, about 6'2" and about 240 lbs. His knees are shot. Read the reviews of this and went to get them. Hubby is back at it, and moving along at a quick pace. He loves these knee pads.
