Hi Frantz.
Thank you for your question.
This plant is sold in a live but, dormant state. I found a use and care pdf file for this rose that will serve you well.

As with any bare root rose, you will want to keep the plant in a cool dark place until planted. The sooner this bare root rose is planted the better, weather permitting.
Once planted in a full sun area, water your bare root rose twice a week until it starts growing. Depending on where you live and what type of soil you have, you may only have to water your rose during dry spells about once a week.
If you have your rose in a clay soil, you may have to water less than if it is planted in a sandy loam.
Fertilize your new rose in the spring after the new growth has started and then every 6 to 8 weeks after that depending on how your rose grows.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Answer:
Howdy CTGardener,
Any rose is suitable for a container if you have a large enough container. Roses such as; mini roses or carpet roses can live in smaller containers for sure, however larger rose can live in containers such as whiskey barrels and similar sized pots.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A beautiful fragrant rose This is my all time favorite rose. I remember them in my mother's garden when I was growing up in Michigan. It is a hardy plant and tolerates the winter well if you take the appropriate steps to safeguard it. The blooms are big and beautiful. The plant grows to 5 feet tall and will flower continually if you dead head it. I leave my windows open as often as I can so the fragrance can fill the house. June bugs appear to really like this rose. I battled them for years. Last year my clever husband planted catnip around them which acts as a natural and non toxic bug repellent. An additional bonus is that the neighbor's cat loves it as well and drives the bunnies out of my vegetable garden and gets some much needed exercise. May 1, 2010
