Customer Questions & Answers

Can this be potted?

Asked by: Awesome
I have Potted these Shrub Roses many times an have always had great success. There very hardy an have had to trim them back they did so well. Didn't do any fancy fertilizing just watered them. Also was in a very dry desert climate..have never lost one :)

Customer Reviews

All Time Favorites Rose Iceberg is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from 'Iceberg' rose I rescued this rose in May 2010 from an overgrown section of my garden that was planted by my parents 20 years ago. It must be an extremely tough plant to survive years of neglect without water during several very dry summers. Here is my "scientific" review: Flowers: nearly pure white, early flowering and continues to bloom periodically into fall; corolla about 3" wide, fragrance: moderate to strong sweet rose scent. Foliage: glossy light green. Stems: strong, erect. Very disease resistant even in shade. Plant origin: grown by Reimer Kordes in 1958 in Germany and it also has the cultivar name 'Schneewittchen'.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DUDS I bought 14 bare root roses from Home Depot. Only 6 are still alive. The Tropicana rose is going crazy. Recommended My Queen Elizabeth has beautiful blooms. Recommended Mister Lincoln, Love, Peace, and Knockout roses are hanging in there. I think they will be okay, but they aren't producing a whole lot of foliage. My Iceberg roses (2), dead. My climbers (2), dead. My second Mister Lincoln, dead NOT Recommended

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So Far, So Good... Just planted these roses. All arrived healthy looking and packaging was in great shape. A few of the plants had under developed root systems. Waiting to see if they survive...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Plant Ordered 3 of these and 2 of the iceberg climbers with some Heirlooms and Lady Luteas. After about two and half months they had buds but have not bloomed yet. Only the Heirlooms have bloomed. Check out the pictures of these and the others under their respective names. Will post more pictures when they bloom.
