Customer Reviews

Climbing Rose Joseph's Coat is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Awesome Love these Roses I didn't even use the store bought garden soil with this rose bush (because I ran out) I put it in my regular garden soil and its doing better than all my other rose bushes, it has tons of leaves already. This is a really hardy plant and I just can't wait for all the multi color blooms. Thanks Home Depot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good! I wasn't sure about ordering the rose bushes on line and having them delivered to my home but they arrived and were in excellent condition. The bushes have since been planted and are doing great. 6 out of 6 are growing and about to bloom! So for someone who had NO idea what they were doing (first time rose planter) these roses were a perfect choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No problems here I was a little worried because of the reviews but I'm happy I took the risk! I planted them the week I got them and they started growing shoots in two weeks. Not only did the fill out nicely they weren't interrupted my the two major freezes we had this year! They've been in the ground for about a month and the first buds are already on the bush. Something I did with these roses was I mixed the soil with cow manure before back filling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Joseph would love his coat It took a few days for the rose to settle in and a few more days before any life was evident. The canes were wax coated to protect them , thence the delay. Now each day I see more leaves appearing. It will be a while before buds and then blossoms. It should be glorious!

I think the color change extremes are related to the air temperature. It can be bright yellow or a wonderful cranberry red! The thing I love about it is how the colors glow as though they have a spot light on them, they mute as the rose dies. Once established a few years it grows like crazy and blooms for months, I usually have one blossom at Christmas! My only complaint is a mother down the road loves it and this past summer stole all my roses because I have it on the fence in the front by a sidewalk. I would advise you to keep it further back from the boundary of your property to avoid this problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A show-stopper in the garden This is the most gorgeous climbing rose with its amazing color and long lasting beauty. My issue is not with the plant itself but rather the challenge of growing roses in Georgia. Constant struggle with black spot and other mildew issues. However, this rose tries to overcome each year despite the sometimes brutal conditions. Just keep fungicide handy and enjoy the rewards. It's a must-have for my garden.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard to find, and at such a great price It arrived healthy and is a stout young plant. Trying to find this Climbing coat variety has been hard (especially on our budget). So glad to be able to purchase this finally after many years of looking for it at a price I could afford. Finding this in a affordable bare root young plant, was a major surprise, usually if you can find it, it's been in large pots and can cost five times as much!
