Answer:
Wet or dry processed is used in the production of hardboard. MDF is made from wood fibers and resins (glue) and pressed in a press under heat and pressure.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent material I've used this to construct a couple of work-benches (used plans from the Kreg website). It is exact in its dimensions, absolutely flat, and easy to saw (but you should wear a face mask if you don't have a dust-collection system). If it doesn't get wet, it is very stable, and quite strong (for extra strength, I use two sheets, glued together, for the bench top). If I were worried it could get wet, I'd apply a primer and paint it. November 9, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MDF is great for cabinet doors and other projects that will be painted, pre cut panels save time MDF is a great material for projects that will be painted. It cuts clean with no splinters and works well on the router table. These pre cut panels are about 50% more expensive per ft^2 than a full sheet. However, a 4 x 8 sheet of MDF is very heavy and difficult to manage on the table saw. I have also found the scrap wood has little value since it's not structurally sound, it's hard to use for anything but cabinet doors. For example you can't make shelves for the garage. Therefore, I just buy the amount I need. October 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great product! I bought this to use in my shop as a flat surface for a router table. It worked great! The plywood was in excellent condition and machined beautifully! Dead flat and sturdy! This is a great buy! October 30, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ADDED THE RIGHT TOUCH TO PROJECT Just what I needed to finish top of miter saw table. December 26, 2012
