5 star product, however at my local store it is stocked in the millworks department on the floor. Anyone who works with full size sheet goods knows that they can be combersome to handle under the best circumstances. I pick through half a dozen sheets with broken corners and other blemishes on a weekly basis. This is most definitely caused by its terrible stocking location. With the product so low to the ground, and pallet racking over the top, customers must drag the sheets out causing the damage. HomeDepot please stock this with the rest of the sheet goods! You will have less wasted product and happy customers.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by xrandall Great for concrete forms
We bought this to make concrete forms for our kitchen countertops and it worked very well. The concrete came right off of the inside (and outside) of the forms without any issues at all. We screwed the pieces together, lined the inside edges with silicone, filled with the concrete and voila!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hillbillybuilder This melamine is not 3/4" thick
I bought this product seeing that the online specifications show that it is 3/4" thick. I designed my project for 3/4" thick dadoes throughout. The boards I cut COULD NOT be driven into a 49/64" slot. (allowing 1/64" for fit-up) Now I have to go back and change all my drawing measurements to 25/32" because the panels are just a tad thicker than specified. Either this product is not milled to specs or Home Depot needs to change the measurements in it's description.
FOI: The edges were not swelled. I measured the thickness from a center cut.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mike Excellent materiel
I have used this mel board for decades both black and white to make cabinets, desks, office counters, computer work centers, and shelving. I even used it in my kitchen as a temporary sink counter for four years until I could replace it with the real thing. It held up very well for being in a wet place but I don't recommend it for that.
The desks and counters I made for commercial offices were heavily used and lasted for 15+ years until the warehouse was totally rebuilt. You can edge it with white edging tape or use solid hardwoods. You can also use vinyl Tee molding (commonly called "slap" molding. It is best cut, in my opinion, with 1/4" carbide tipped router bits.
I am currently making a sewing room for my wife and I will use this materiel for a sturdy sewing table, extensions, and work area.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Scoot Did the job!
Needing a large panel to front a white garage work desk, I bought this 4x8 knowing there would be plenty left over. But I've found several ways to constructively use up the pieces, shelves etc. Good stuff.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by John great stuff
I build reptile enclosures for a living and this is all I use because it is so easy to wipe down if something is spilled on it or an animal goes to the bathroom the only downside to this is that you must predrill all the holes which can be time consuming but it makes a enclosure look great
