I live in San Antonio, Texas. Summers are brutal here. This has kept my yard green for two and half years. About 2 years longer than several others I have tried. I have 2 of them, and they both sit in the sun all day long, every day.
They need to be replaced now. The "rubberized" nozzles have pretty much disintegrated with our brutal summers and hard water. However...it still works! It still oscillates and I still use them. The spray patter is a little screwy because of the decomposed nozzles...but, it still works!
2 1/2 yrs is pretty good for this type of sprinkler and how much I use it. Can't really complain.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Faisal A good buy !
I’ve been using this sprinkler for over 18 months now and to be honest, Instead of just using it, I’ve absolutely abused it. And to my surprise, this piece still delivers as it used to when it was new.
Its color is faded a little bit and I can see some calcium deposits at the end of the hose connector but, no matter how much I abuse the unit, it just refuses to give up. I am very impressed by its persistent productivity. It has a good throw and covers quite a bit area. I attached a water pressure control to my hose, before I connected the hose with this unit. That helps a lot using this unit in small areas without letting the water spill out to Driveway or Walkway. It’s a good purchase. Go buy it, you will like it.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Tony101 Good - for about a season
The yellow tab adjusters are useful with only 15 foot wide side yards. But don't expect more than one full season before it breaks. The base easily breaks where it cradles the oscillating piece. My first one had the base break in this way in first season. The second one I purchased stopped oscillating in second season.

Over the years I've tried every type of oscillating sprinklers on the market...mostly the less expensive ones to be totally honest. This Melnor Deluxe Turbo sprinkler is worth ever penny of the $20 I paid for it!!! What is specially nice about it is the water adjustments are so easy to use and you are totally able to adjust to the exact size of your garden. My tomato garden is 10' x 35'. After tweeking the sprinkler's adjustments for the watering length of 35' and width of only 10' I was very surprized that this sprinkler could handle my entire garden so precisely with no water waste from over spray!!! Remember it's made of all plastic, so don't let someone step on it in the dark!! I achored my sprinkler to a 12 cinder block. This will help to keep anyone from tripping or stepping on it. I will save my sales receipt and the box it came in as several people in their reviews claim to have problems with the oscillating action after a period of time?? Anyway, I'm not worried as Melnor states right on the box that the unit has a lifetime warranty.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kidder I love this thing!
Width and rotation can both be adjusted, so you save water and it gives almost too much power to the remaining holes. I've had to turn down the water pressure to get the right coverage without waste in a small area, which is great. The unit is heavy and solid, and seems an excellent quality. Totally recommend it for areas large and small.

The adjustability is great! I went back and bought another. You can control the span and width of water coverage which cuts down on wasting water.
