I used this as part of my watering system for my Orchid Arbors. I needed at least 3 shutoffs for the multiple hose uses. One is hooked up to the automatic orchid system, on is used for hand watering and the third is used should I need to fill the pool

I bought this splitter because I have a large side yard, as well as a back yard...but only one faucet. So I am using this to run a short 6' hose to the back yard, that has it's own on/off valve. Then, i have a regular hose connected for the side yard. I plan to use the two unused splitter nozzles in the photo to run drip lines to the plants and hedges in the side yard as well. It is very high quality, and was easy to install.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Happy Great time saver.
This saves me hours of attaching hoses and is an excellently made connector. I have a large yard and garden and without this I (a recent widow) would be doing nothing but disconnecting and reconnecting all day.
Great quality! Great price! Easy to connect. You an use from one to four hoses all at one!

This was the only brand we found in the local store. We used it to replace the same brand after it broke. All told it lasted a little less than a year. So if the price is worth a years worth of use then go for it. If they had another brand in the store I probably would have gone that route though.
The threading portion is connected rather poorly in my opinion. When trying to remove the hose the threading came with it.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Mike Brass fittings come off too easily
The 4 brass threaded pieces to which the hoses connect are, themselves, screwed into the splitter base. When I bought this, I didn't realize that they weren't permanently affixed. One of them was leaking and so I tried to take the hose off but in unscrewing it, the brass section came off instead and was stuck inside the hose. I had to get a needle-nose pliers to unscrew the brass section from the end of the hose and then screw it back onto the splitter. This was NOT fun because there was nothing to grab on the brass section. I ended up having to damage the threads a bit because they were the only thing to hold onto. BAD DESIGN!!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by lerxst If you ever think you want to remove a hose from it again, then walk away.
This is the second one of these I bought. The first one broke after less than a year, but it looked like just one of "those things". The second one I got lasted longer, but I wanted to move hoses around after a few months, but the manifold hose bibs are themselves threaded in with a very short connector of their own, and they unscrew before your hose does, rendering this thing useless, and also now you have to try to get their odd little connectors out of your hose when all they have is about 1/8" sticking up.
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, I guess. But there won't be a third time.

If the individual levers were metal, I'd give this five stars, but the plastic snaps off in a year or two and it requires pliers to operate the faucets This is our third one. We haven't found a better one yet. Other than the plastic levers, it works well.
