Answer:
I know of no reason why it could not be used for hot water in the temperature range that you could be comfortable with on your hands and arms if the water splattered.

Answer:
No this nozzle is not designed for use with Hot water. The Home Depot does carry another Melnor Nozzle 229-855/465C which is designed for use with water up to 160 degrees.

Adjustable Rear-Trigger Nozzle is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 84.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best spray nozzle I have ever used!! I bought this nozzle at the beginning of summer like i do every year looking for something that might last at least one year! It is a simple device, and it does everything you need. The streams from strong to where it fans out are very balanced and I could not get over how well made it is for the inexpensive price. I threw out all my other nozzles and use this one exclusively !! If your are looking for something that does it all, get it now. Especially great when washing my vehicles. Will definitely try their other products.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good for a year I had the same experience as the review from Vern. For the first year, this worked well. This is season 2 and it started leaking around the yellow plastic ring near the front. I just lived with the extra water spraying out. Last week it was spraying much worse and now sprays out the back near the handle. This is good if you like to take a shower when watering your plants. I like the old brass "turn" nozzles, but my wife prefers the trigger. I still have not found one that will last that has a trigger. My brass one has lasted over a decade with just a washer replacement. In fairness, I did empty the water from this and the hose, but did store it over the winter in the shed rather than bringing it inside. Perhaps it has some water trapped somewhere that froze and expanded.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy & reliable Just your basic nozzle- no bells or whistles- but it's heavy duty (not cheap plastic), screws on snugly with no leaks, sprays cleanly with no side splatter, is easy to squeeze and to adjust, and fits nicely in my hand. For the low price, it's a total winner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a hose nozzle It's a hose nozzle. Not much to write about. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive. Felt sturdier than the cheap one, so I bought it. It works fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made nozzle with a wide range of settings Bought nozzle without realizing that it had the adjustment at the tip. This is a hood quality item and highly recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works ok The nozzle binds over time, but still turns ok. Just don't drop it, or the nozzle breaks off
