Is this nozzle suitable for hot water?

Asked by: Louie
Yes. I use warm water to clean non-slip floor tile in restaurant kitchen. I believe hot water can be used as well.

By June 2016 the plastic trigger failed rendering nozzle useless. Took to Depot for replacement under lifetime warranty, but was denied. Depot employee said I had to go direct to Melnor(mfg.) Sent 2 emails with pic of failed unit and receipt. Not a peep from Melnor. Don't recommend this unit for even light use. Company doesn't stand behind warranty or even acknowledge email.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 3rd Melnor nozzle in 12 months Went through 3 nozzles over the course of a couple months. The first was a lower quality model, and the plastic cover under the nozzle cracked when I dropped the hose. The second started having only a trickle for water flow and the handle was not turning off when released. The most recent one seems to have cracked a metal ring behind the handle, sending water squirting backward and down the handle. I notified Melnor of these issues, and waiting to hear back. But as of now I see this as a very low quality product.

I've bought too many of those cheap multi-spray headed nozzles that start leaking in about a year due to all the extra moving parts. I wanted something simple, and this was it - this allows a high volume of water so I can spray further, take less time and don't need to turn the valve all the way open to get decent flow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works great! I just bought this nozzle, and it works great! I had to take the first one back because it was missing the Rubber seal gasket inside the sprayer. once I came back home with the new one, hooked it up, it worked great. I just I just wish I didn't have that stupid anti siphon valve on my outside hose faucet.

This nozzle gave me a blob of water no matter how it was squeezed. It was not much different than kinking the hose and using it with no nozzle. I returned it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Be Aware! The nozzle works good. The problem is it does not last long. The plastic breaks every time where it connects to the threaded piston with nut that opens the chamber to release water. Other than that I like the nozzle, nothing better available. Just fix this issue!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does What Its Suppose To Do... Nothing special works like most other basic hose nozzles.. Seems to work better then the expensive dial type nozzles. Waters the garden, washes the cars, sprays the kids down, I even hosed out the gutters with it.. Works good!!!

Previous experience with other Melnor spray nozzles.show that the internal valve return springs tend to rust and the plastic handles tend to break just below the attaching pivot.
