Answer:
Water pressure controls the distance. Close the valve on your source for less open it for more. Max distance is limited by the pressure.

Answer:
Two ways to adjust distance:
1. Use a flow restriction like an in-line shut off valve partially open. If you restrict too much, the impulse action will not work. It needs enough mass flow of water to operate.
2. There will be either a needle screw or a diffuser tab that adjusts into the water stream near the end of the pulse arm. As you adjust that screw into the stream or adjust the tab, the spray Read More

There are two adjustments on the pulsating sprinkler head that will determine distance.
2. At the front of the sprinkler head, where the water sprays out, there is a diffuser pin (plastic Heads) or screw (metal heads). When this screw is in the out position, the water sprays in a fine stream(for watering further from the unit). By screwing it in, the tip enters the stream of water, this diffuses the Read More

3. Another adjustment to the distance the water sprays is the deflector shield. When the shield is all the way up, the shield will be out of the spray. This allows for maximum distance. When the deflector shield is moved into the spray of the water, the water hits the shield, causing the water to be directed back towards the ground. This will shorten the distance the water sprays. To adjust the deflector shield on plastic pulsator heads you can use the dial on the top of the head to move the shield into or out of the water stream. On metal pulsator heads simply lift or depress the deflector shield into or out of the water stream Read Less

Answer:
Yes, although it seems to have a bit too much being put out close to the sprinkler. This is probably pretty common with most impact sprinkler.

Answer:
Specs are completely wrong. With sufficient pressure, the unit will spray 42 foot radius circle which will cover 5,500 s.f. When you set it up, try to measure how far it sprays. Then just use the following formula to determine square footage covered:
For example, if you're getting 30 foot spray:
30 x 30 x 3 = 2700 s.f. (approximation) This is the area of a circle which is Pi x radius squared.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not the product I recently purchased.... I did not recently purchase this product. I did buy this product about 2 years ago and it was great until the spike portion broke off. It is only a soft grade aluminum. I did try to purchase the same sprinkler, but could not find one in store - so I did buy a different style - which is not as good as the original. The impulse mechanism on the old one is MUCH better than any new ones I can find. The new ones seem to "Stall" during the impulse movement and get stuck in one position, and only have one, straight spike, no step portion. My ratings are for the new item purchased, not the older, better product. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sprinkler These work great and are s good value!! you can put them in a bucket of sand if you are on a slope October 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Less is more I bought a few of these to water my new grass. I found out that you are better to put out less sprinklers as pressure will drop the more you connect into one line. Recommend these over the ones with the three wheeled base by a lot. October 18, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good purchase Item tends to stop rotating after several days of use. Had to spray WD 40 on it. Works OK with periodic treatment October 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pulsator Sprinkler Excellent. Paying more for this sprinkler with copper parts was well worth it. October 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good It works very well. Easy to install and to use. Yes September 27, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Adequate The pulsating sprinkler is solid, well made, and works just fine. The spike is lightweight and skinny. Therefore, it doesn't make for a very good anchor. The sprinkler has a tendency to move and wiggle. I have to adjust the hose to help keep the sprinkler in place. It gets the job done, I guess. July 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works fantastic!! This sprinkler works wonderfully and provides a complete and total coverage of the area I set it to water. July 19, 2016
