I agree with some of the other reviews that it is not super durable but about it getting stuck on the hose I don't agree with. They could maybe try a little teflon tape or get a quick change coupling like I am using and haven't had any problems. This is my third one and I have a backup put away for a later date. I use the plastic quick change set up because out here the water is very hard and will ruin the brass type.

Same as the last post, just recently bought and can't take off my 100 ft hose. If Home Depot sells this product only to make you have to purchase a new hose well kudos! It is completely oxidized and stuck to the hose.

I bought this since it was only a couple of bucks. I would use the hose 2-3 days a week for 15-20 minutes each time. The first one wore out after 3 months, the on/off valve wouldn't work properly. I figured, only 2-3 bucks so I'll get another one - BIG MISTAKE. The second one lasted about 4 months. Same usage but eventually it stopped working in the "off" position. The problem was I could not get it to unscrew, it welded itself to the hose connector. I used wrenches, tried oil, WD-40, putting the fitting in hot water, still stuck, so my $40 hose is useless. I will have to cut off the hose end and get a replacement metal fitting for the hose, but those usually don't last as long so this shortened the useful life of the hose. This may only cost $3 but it costs you a LOT more in time and aggravation.
DO NOT BUY!

These thing ruined three of my hoses. They would not come off, they welded themselves to the end of the hose. I had to cut the end off of every hose and use repair kits. Buy at your own risk, or take them off after every use.

This is made of plastic and will "weld" itself to the brass end of the hose. Home Depot used to carry a great one, brass,
with hard rubber collar...and a shut off valve. Now they have the identical one without the shut off valve. I guess so I'll have to buy a "shut off valve" attachment.
