This is construction grade redwood, so I didn't expect perfection, but 2 of the boards (out of 12) had splits in them deep enough to make me nervous. I am using this for a 4'x12' raised planter, so the split sections will be used as interior cross braces, where they won't show. This is the second time I have purchased this product, and I did not have pay as close attention to the appearance of the boards when laying them out the first time, so perhaps there's a lot of variation. If I had rated the first batch I would have given it 4 or 5 stars.

Minimal defects, works well directing on ground, do not have to worry about food and plant contamination. Using the Frame It All Two Inch Series Anchor Joint has made it very easy and fast to put together a raised bed garden system.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I think this product was misadvertised I bought this wood to make raised garden beds. I was surprised at the low price considering it was a quality hardwood/redwood. Well my handymen alerted me as they constructed the beds that this wood was painted/dyed red and was not an authentic redwood/hardwood. Since then I had to invest in an Eco sealant and many man hours to seal the wood that I otherwise would not have needed to. I plan to take this issue up with management.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wife approved! I purchased two bundles of this product to make two raised garden beds for my wife. I live in the eastern US and this is my first time buying redwood so I have no idea if the price of this item is good or not. The wood does contain some knots but then again it is labeled "Construction Common Redwood Lumber" so I was expecting it. Fortunately it was relative straight and easy to work with.
