This tile will leave an unfinished edge. Since I won't cover the entire wall (I want paint above it), what should I use as trim to finish the edges?

Answer:
Good morning,
You may finish off the edge of glass tile with a line of grout that is beveled at an angle, or a smoothed line of caulk or silicone. Additionally, you can look into metal or PVC trims such as the Merola SuperTrim series.
Hope that helps!

i would pain the wall first and then tile the areas you want to tile. if you dont like the way the edges look then, you can pain the edges, and then wipe off any drips or over brushed areas with a damp cloth. you can also add a trim edge with coordinating tile (they make some specifically for edging). you can also use a wood access trim if you prefer. hope I was able to answer your question. good luck Read More

Answer:
no more so than any other tile i would assume. i used copper glass tiles on my backsplash, needed a decent amount of pressure for cutting. i would assume they would hold up to eveyday where. keep in mind they may scratch in time if place pots, pans etc on there. i used these nippers, but they wont cut a straight line. all my cuts were hidded behind outlet covers.

Answer:
Hi Daydreamer,
We wouldn't recommend a glass tile for countertop use, because of the risk of the glass chipping. Countertops take a lot of abuse, so we'd recommend a mosaic tile with a PEI rating of a 4 or 5, to withstand the wear that a countertop goes through.
Hope that helps!

Do you have a mosaic tile with a similar look that would be suitable as an accent (using a 4 tile X 4 tile in between 16" ceramic tile) on a floor?

Answer:
Good Morning,
In general, we do not recommend glass mosaics for floor use, but if it is not a highly trafficked area and it is installed properly, it can be done.
Here are a couple mosaic tiles that I think have a similar look to the Coppa Tan Gold.
Rustica Mini Highlands 12 in. x 12 in. x 6 mm Porcelain Mosaic Floor and Wall Tile
Merola Tile Laceo Beige 12 in. x 12 in. x 6 mm Porcelain Floor and Wall

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Back Splash for Bathroom Vanity The finish look is fantastic. Looks very expensive at a reasonable price. It is easy to keep clean. I was very impressed with how well it looked when we finished installing it. Well worth the price. I know a lot of folks used white grout and was happy with it, but we used the tan glass tile grout and it looks great. We had to place a second order of tile and it matched the first batch of tile perfect. August 23, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Colors differed We ordered some of these for our kitchen backsplash. They are really pretty, but very very thin. When we measured the area to be covered we discovered we needed more tiles. The second order, even though it was for the exact same stock number, was quite different in color....much darker. Our installer figured out a way to mix the colors so that the difference in color was not too noticeable. Overall, they look very nice. Just be sure to order all you need in one order. We used a darker grout which came out very nice. July 10, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by perfect backsplash Thes georgous tiles add shimmer and shine. The color resembles real copper pennies with a mix of lighter shades so its not to dark. I love it!!! easy to install, easy to cut. Adds real class and charm. Real high end look thats affordable. A perfect fit for my kitchen. Add copper outlet covers for a completed look. I would also love this for a fireplace surround if i had one. Your gonna love these tiles!!! See my pics. June 11, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Buy for the cost! Absolutely beautiful. Looks like a very expensive tile for a fraction of the cost. I used white grout, and it makes the copper and gold stand out against the black galaxy granite. I love it! April 25, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by looks good Great deal and looks really nice for the price. I started installing them myself but had a friend finish the backsplash because the wall was a little uneven. I am really pleased with the results. November 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Spectacular! Our newly remodelled kitchen has many copper accents so the Coppa Tan Glass Tiles were simply a perfect match. We installed them ourselves with white glass tile mortar. We had to cut several tiles around outlets and along cabinet edges and windows but it was easy to do. Any tiles needing cut we first cut into individual squares then using a glass tile nipper tool (along with a little patience) easily snipped the filler pieces we needed. All I can say is that these tiles give you a rich and beautiful look that is stunningly spectacular! Note that you can find this same tile at Home Depot stores at nearly $2 less per square foot.
