Answer:
Hi Dave,
You can use a 1/8” spacer for your installation. This is the size of the grout lines between the hexagons, so it will look cohesive between sheets. If you have any further questions, please reach out to our customer service team at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

Answer:
Good Afternoon,
The edges on these tiles are rounded off slightly. These tiles are almost completely flat across the surface. However, these tiles are highly skid resistant, making them very safe for any floor. Also, these tiles have a high resistance to abrasion, making them great for most floor installations. If you have any further questions, please reach out to our customer service team at

Our Metro series does have a coordinating bullnose! The bullnose can be seen here, http://thd.co/1QH57k1. This specific bullnose has a matte finish which will work well with your choice of the Metro Hex 2 in. Matte White mosaic. Though these products are meant to coordinate with each other, they may not match exactly due to different manufacturing dates. It is recommended to order samples of these products to help in your ordering process. We do create samples for the Metro Hex mosaic, however, the bullnose does not come as a sample and would need to be purchased through HomeDepot.com. The Home Depot has a 90-day return policy which can be returned in store if you choose. If you have any further questions or need help with ordering a sample, please reach out to our customer service team at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

What's the difference between this and the other Metro white 2" hex tile?

Is there a difference (other than price) for this time versus the one in the link below?

Link is here:
http://www.homedepot.com/p/Merola-Tile-Metro-Hex-2-in-Matte-White-10-1-2-in-x-11-in-x-5-mm-Porcelain-Mosaic-Floor-and-Wall-Tile-FXLM2HMW/205192730

In case that didn't work - here's the tile data:
Model # FXLM2HMW

Internet # 205192730

Store SKU # 1000052307

Price for the above tile is $5.58 vs. $6.95 for this time. Both are Merlo, "metro", 2" hex and have a matte white option. Both are glazed. Other than limited availability for the $5.58 tile, I'm not seeing a difference. Can anyone illuminate me?

Hi Nate,
The difference between the two SKUs is that one is for the product sold as an individual sheet, whereas the other is sold by the case. Both products cost the same per square foot. Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 32 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Delightful choice for a vintage house I wanted a retro-style kitchen countertop for my 1925 Craftsman. I found a prototype online that someone else with a vintage house had created. I loved it and copied it. The original artisan used 2-1/2" hex tiles to create a custom pattern in white with black accents, and so did I. The REAL challenge was searching for some retailer who still had V-Cap edger tile available (no longer sold at Home Depot). My way of hacking the grout-getting-dirty issue was to cover the tile with sheets of clear acrylic, held down by clear Gorilla Tape. September 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great!! I used this tile in my kitchen for two back splashes and one large focal point wall. It looks exactly how I hoped it would. Working with the mosaic style tile is slightly more advanced than working with your standard shapes. A bit of thought is required before installing. July 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great classic looking tile The tiles look great. Definitely a little harder to cut and install just due to the size/shape of the tiles vs. a solid tile. It gave the look we wanted. You can tell that the bath has been renovated but it still has a very classic style. June 16, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tile It looks excellent on my bathroom floor! So pleased May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to Install, great product. Product exceeded expectations, was easy to install. I watched a video where you need to make sure between the tile sheets that you have the correct amount of spacing so you don't see a thicker seam. That was easily accomplished with 1/8" spacers. Towards the end of the room, (my fault), the tile did skew a little but it was easily corrected by peeling off the individual tiles and setting the last few in by hand, like a puzzle piece. I was back and forth on the matte vs the glossy tile as my house was built in 1875 and wanted to be historically correct but....the glossy will do better in the laundry area. Enclosed pics of floor, gray grout was drying as that's why there is a bit color variation. I assure you, there are no seams and am very happy with it. As for the edging, the tiles are easily cut on a wet saw. Baseboard will fill in the rest of gap. October 27, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice accent tile for my project I wanted a retro-style kitchen countertop for my 1925 Craftsman. My one complaint: why is there an apx $30 difference between a box of the glazed black and the glazed white of the same material? And why can't these be sold in individual sheets so that homeowners don't end up with leftovers. September 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great tile, very hard install I had 8 boxes without a single problem tile. As with all mesh backed mosaics, spacing not perfect. This was my first tile project ever, and it was HARD. I don't have particularly good skill with spatial relations, though, and also got a lot of thinset smooshing up. Love the 2" look July 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great looking tile This tile is beautiful and comes in sheets to make installation easier. Installation, however, isn't easy considering you have to cut each inner tile to fit against the wall and cabinets (vs. a 12x12 tile with one cut.) April 5, 2016
