No, this is a 1" Hex tile. It has been a year since I ordered, but at that time It could be ordered black with white flowers. I don't remember seeing any 2" Hex tile.

Is sanded grout OK with this tile?

The install guide was not clear if this tile is OK with sanded grout. Thanks
Asked by: crusing
I used unsanded as it was recommended not to scratch the tile. I have no idea if the sanded grout would work.

Is an uncoupling under-layment necessary on a concrete (used self-leveling product) basement floor?

Is an uncoupling underlayment (Schluter-Ditra) neccessary on a concrete (used a self-leveling product) basement floor?? Or will a hardie-backer board be sufficient?
Asked by: Sandy
Good Afternoon, The condition of your concrete subfloor can determine the need for these extra steps. If this subfloor has not been sealed and is not cracked or damaged, you can go right ahead with installing tile. Sealer is a bond breaker and will not allow the adhesives to properly stick to the subfloor. If this has been sealed, it is recommended to use Ditra or a mortar bed. Using backer boards on concrete is not an option. We would recommend getting in touch with a local contractor if there is still confusion or concern. If you have any further questions about our tile, please call our customer service team at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Installation of hex mini tiles into a 1950's bathroom After skinning off two layers of old flooring, I was very excited to install the Metro tile, knowing that it would look amazing. I had seen it at a local restraunt where they have it all over, even in the bathrooms and I fell in love with it. It is definately perfect! Looks retro, feels retro and will be my fav for years to come.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Adorable, though not exactly as expected I expected the black tiles to be glossy, as I had seen in every other iteration of this pattern. All were matte, which is fine, just not precisely what I wanted. But at this price, it was easy to overlook. The installation in a hundred-year-old house is cute.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great value for a timeless tile floor We wanted a tile floor in the bathroom that reflects the age of our little 1928 house and this flooring did just that. It wasn't easy to install though as the tile tends to stretch out of shape and even with the pattern being easy to match, too much space between tiles doesn't look good. But, with perseverance it came out looking great. We used a med. grey grout and this completed the floor.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from mismatched whites! This is a beautiful tile. I planned to make a border with the heavy black flower style, then to fill in the middle with plain white ones. Too bad the solid white ones were bright white, and the whites in the heavy black flower style were off white. It was like a mouthful of real teeth mixed with bright white dentures. Very noticeable. After two tries with my order, I gave up. If I were to do it again, I would order only all whites, then buy a case of all blacks, and make the design myself by hand. It wouldn't be that hard. Again, the tile really is lovely.
