How do I clean this tile? Do I just use a damp mop or do I need more

Asked by: Lizzie
Good afternoon, This tile is very easy to care for. Like you mention, a damp mop should be just fine for regular cleaning. You can also use a mild, non-acidic, grit-free cleanser for more thorough cleaning. Hope that helps!

How to handle a situation when I need much less than a full box?

1st question: My project requires 3 boxes plus 2 tiles of Merola Oton Gray Shade and 1 box plus 2 tiles of Merola Oton Black Shade. Each complete box contains 10 tiles. How can I avoid buying complete boxes with unnecessary extra tiles while I need just a couple tiles in addition to the complete box? 2nd question: In their reviews some people complain that many tiles arrive broken or otherwise defective. I can order extra to cover that potential situation, but will the local store accept back all defective, broken BUT OTHERWISE UNUSED tiles, especially when the total quantity does not comprise a complete box or exceeds it? ATTENTION! I WAS NOT ABLE TO USE THE CATALOG NAMES OF THE ABOVE TILES (as they are posted at your website) BECAUSE YOUR SYSTEM INTERPRETED ONE WORD AS INAPPROPRIATE LANGUAGE!
Asked by: Anonymous
Hi Andy, Though your project only requires a certain number of tiles, this tile is only sold by the case. Also, during installation, you may find that you need extra tiles because of accidental breakage or for cuts. We normally recommend ordering 10% additional material. When that 10% extra is factored in, your required material almost comes up to one extra box for the Gray. I think you'll find having the excess material is beneficial, especially for keeping for possible future repairs. When tiles arrive broken (or are simply unused), the broken tiles cannot be returned individually, because they are only sold by the case. If tiles arrive broken, the process goes as follows: call Home Depot's customer service line and tell them about the breakage. They will communicate to us how many pieces were broken and we will ship you replacement pieces directly to your home. Hope that helps!

Specification for the Ceramic Tile Model #FHN13OTN states that there is "no rectified edge". What is RECTIFIED EDGE and how its absence affect me?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hi Andy, A rectified edge means the tile is cut very sharply and squarely, with no bevel or rounded edge to it. There would be a 90 degree angle from the top of the tile to the sides. Most glazed tiles, like this one, are not rectified. I've included a photo below that shows a diagram of tile edges. Hope that helps!
