Product Overview

The look of natural slate gives your home a classic touch and the Merola Tile Rustica Brick Noce Slate 10-3/4 in. x 12-3/4 in. x 8 mm Porcelain Mosaic Tile captures it beautifully. The grays, blues and browns come together, creating a color scheme that blends with any decor style. Every elongated subway-style brick deviates from the other in color and texture because of its reactive glaze, ensuring that your installation will be unlike any other. Answer:
Hi Melinda,
These tiles are not self-adhesive. They are adhered to a mesh backing that does not have any adhesive properties. To install these tiles, we recommend using a latex-modified thinset. If you have any further questions, please reach out to our customer service team at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

Answer:
Hi Nick,
This tile would be great behind a wood burner. Since it will not be coming in contact with the actual fire, this product will show no use or wear. This tile is baked at extremely high temperatures when being made, so the heat that would radiate off the wood burner does not compare to the heat used to make the tile. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to our customer Read More

I am looking for a gray based accent and I like the look of slate but the photos look more brown. The description indicates gray tones. What is an accurate description?

Answer:
Hi Gina,
Since this is a hand-glazed product, there is lots of variation in the glaze. This product contains both brown and grey tones. We suggest you order a sheet to see it in person to decide if it works with your decor.
Hope that helps!

Answer:
Good morning,
We do not currently carry any bullnose tiles specifically for this series. We suggest looking at options online, or you could bring a sample of the tile to your local Home Depot to see if you like any in-stock options. You could also look into contrasting trim options.
Thanks for your interest in our products!

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not colorful We chose this tile because of the warm brown, gold, and green tones pictured on this website. We were surprised when the tile arrived and it is mostly gray tones with a little black. There are some brown tones. There is no blue tone at all. April 22, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent for Kitchen Splash Tile Projects I am a DIYer who purchased this tile for a kitchen splash tile project in January 2013. This was my first time installing tile so I watched some YouTube videos on tile installation, bought the needed trowels, tile nippers, mortar, grout and tile then did the install. This tile is very easy to work with as it "mesh backed" which allows you to make any needed tile cuts as well as the cutouts for the electrical outlets very simple process by just using the tile nippers. You won't need a wet saw! The tile appearance is "very rich" looking however I would echo the other reviewer by saying the actual appearance of the tile has much more gray in it than the online photos show. I took this into consideration when I selected this particular tile and was very happy with the results. Be sure to use a natural gray grout color and you will have a perfect looking result! This tile is a little more expensive than others but is worth it in my opinion as it has interlocking tiles which improves the end result appearance! The entire cost of my kitchen splash tile project was under $300 including the tile, tools, mortar and grout. I completed the project in 72 hours. January 22, 2013
